Toys R Us offers buy one, get $20 off deal

Fortunately this deal includes games with peripherals, like Wii Play, Wii Fit, DDR, and Guitar Hero. That is, of course, if you can actually find said games (silly old Wii Fit) in stock.
Does anyone plan to use this deal to pick up a long desired title?

I haven't seen the ad myself yet, but I'm told the second game has to be $29.99 or higher as well.
Morgan Bradley @ Jul 30th 2008 4:49PM
I might. This might be a good time to pick up Super Mario Galaxy, and then for $10 more, I could grab No More Heroes.
Joie @ Jul 30th 2008 5:00PM
son of a *!^*^!!!
I literally just bought a $29.99 game from ToysRUs a few HOURS ago .... I bought it online w/ a gift card too ... so it would probably be a real pain to cancel the order, bla bla bla.
BLERG!!!
...to answer your question: yes, I would have taken advantage of said offer =P

im getting Okami and if I find it, Zack and Wiki, or maybe Boom Blox and Okami.
Daniel @ Jul 30th 2008 8:19PM
I got Zack and Wiki for $8 on clearance at my local Toys R Us. And they had plenty more.
iMeh @ Jul 31st 2008 7:03AM
I bought Zack & Wiki for $10 during E3. Now that they're having this deal I'm thinking of getting two of the following 3: Final Fantasy: Chocobo's Dungeon, Super Paper Mario, or another Zack & Wiki for my casual playing friends.
Zachary @ Jul 31st 2008 4:33PM
Go with Super Paper Mario. It's fantastic.
Tom @ Jul 30th 2008 6:20PM
Nope. I've got Soul Calibur IV on my 360 and Okami for my Wii right now, and I still need to finish Mass Effect.
SoshiKitai @ Jul 30th 2008 9:20PM
Whoah, didn't finish Mass Effect???
What took you away from finishing that?
And I'd love to go and shop at Toys R' Us for this deal... sadly, I'm strapped outta' cash.
Maybe next week...
Sisyphus @ Jul 31st 2008 4:16AM
I only got a couple hours into it and then got distracted by my Wii.
ZombiePikmin @ Jul 30th 2008 6:42PM
Okami & Wii Play for $60.00 awesome!
willxcore @ Jul 30th 2008 8:30PM
I was wondering whether I should pick up RE4 for PS2 (since I still have a saved game file and can continue where I left off on my PS3) or get the Wii version and start over using the new controls. With this deal maybe I'll grab the Wii version. Okami is an option for a second game. Fucking deals. Without them I wouldn't even spend the money so it's not a deal at all! haha. I have too many damn games to play.
Knema007 @ Jul 30th 2008 9:38PM
I was thinking Okami and Pro Evolution Soccer 2008, the two together would be 50 dollars after the discount.
That could also be a good suggestion for those of you considering which titles would be worthwhile.
Sisyphus @ Jul 31st 2008 4:17AM
Okami is such a beautiful and amazing game on the Wii. I can't praise the drawing by pointing highly enough.
Sisyphus @ Jul 30th 2008 11:36PM
I was thinking Lego Star Wars and Boom Blox sounded good, but their website doesn't seem to have Lego Star Wars for the Wii.
iMeh @ Jul 31st 2008 7:18AM
Well the only games I don't have that I might be interested in are....Wario Ware: Smooth Moves, Super Paper Mario, and Final Fantasy Chocobo's Dungeon.
I probably won't be taking advantage of this.
Erwos @ Jul 31st 2008 8:42AM
I was thinking Chocobo's Dungeon + Okami.
Zachary @ Jul 31st 2008 4:33PM
Hmm...I would like Wii Fit, but I've never, ever seen one in stock anywhere around me. I probably would've gotten my hands on Wii Fit already if that weren't the case.
I will check it out, of course. My local Toys R Us is usually pretty devoid of customers--when they had their buy two, get one free sale for DS games, I managed to snag a new copy of Guitar Hero: On Tour as well as totally the wonderful Phantom Hourglass without any difficulty at all.
zchry @ Aug 3rd 2008 9:03AM
Actually, now I plan on picking up three games here: Wii Fit, Guitar Hero: Aerosmith (game only), and Zack & Wiki.
I still haven't even played Zack & Wiki, but I hear how awesome it is from lots of websites, and it's $10 at Toys R Us.
The way I see it, this is actually part of Toys R Us's campaign to get us to buy Zack & Wiki by giving us $10 just to take it.
zchry @ Aug 3rd 2008 2:30PM
Anyways, I dropped by my local Toys R Us today. I went for, like I said, Wii Fit and GH: Aerosmith.
When I got to checkout, however, the price was $131 and some change. I reminded the guy of the sale and he promptly (and rudely) told me that "Wii Fit is not a game." I said "Yes it is!" He said, again, that it wasn't. A store manager told him that it was, but by that time I was on my way out and it didn't quite sink in until too late.
I'm not saying Wii Fanboy is wrong (hell, Wii Fit's in the advertisement on the website). I'm just saying that you have to be careful if you're looking to get it. I'd suggest taking the print ad.
Also, it sucked because the game was in stock.
Grey Acumen @ Aug 3rd 2008 11:14PM
This article is almost singlehandedly responsible for my being able to get Wii Fit today. I had actually seen an article on it being available at circuit city, but they were out by the time I got there.
I started to head back home, but I saw Toy'sRUs along the way and remembered this, so I figured I'd check in and see what I could find.
I got that along with Boom Blox since it had the $20 off thing. The guy said he wasn't sure it counted, but it did. So if you find Wii Fit and they try to tell you it doesn't count, like what apparently happened to the guy above me, ream them out for it.
Zachary @ Aug 4th 2008 12:08AM
Glad I could help! I'm going back tomorrow with the ad in hand. If it's out of stock, I'm going to be really mad (mostly at myself for not asking for the manager).

Glad I could help!
I'm going back tomorrow, by the way, ad in hand. If it's out of stock I'll be really depressed (and mad at myself for not asking to talk to the manager).
How's Bloom Blox? I was torn between it and GH: Aerosmith at the store, despite what I had posted earlier.
