Wii homebrew made dead simple
The Wii Pack Generator allows you to choose the programs you'd like to install from a list, and then generates a self-extracting archive containing the Twilight Hack file, the Homebrew Channel installer, and the programs of your choice. All you have to do is extract it onto an SD card!
The most complicated part of this whole thing is figuring out who the participants are. This is a project of wiibrew.com, not the well-known wiibrew.org that runs the Wii homebrew wiki.

I installed the channel two weeks ago. I thought it would be really difficult, but it was really easy. Now I've got region free and I can play US games sooner and faster than here in PAL land. I just haven't got round to ordering any new games yet.

It's really a question of whether you want to emulate Donkey Kong vs. Dance Dance Revolution. Picking and choosing could end up with a manageable file size for roms.

I would love to do this, but I am deathly afraid of bricking my Wii. I would NEVER forgive myself for doing that!

I'll probably wind up doing this when i go to Japan, either spring 2010 or spring 2011, just so i can keep up with purchases
Otherwise, i don't see the need. Emulation is objectionable and i haven't really seen a killer app for homebrew yet, though if they build an MPEG-2 reader for Wii (and thus DVD compatibility), i would jump on it

For me the "Killer App" was a near-perfect homebrew freeloader, so I could start buying japanese games.
But you should be happy to know that some Wii hackers are working on a version of mplayer with DVD support for the Wii, and the hope to release it in a week or two.

You know the one thing stopping me from Wii Homebrew? The fact that I lost my SD card somewhere.
Everytime I learn about something that makes the homebrew process simpler its like I'm getting slapped in the face for my stupidity of losing it.

I think the best option is to install the HomeBrew Channel as is, plus the HomeBrew Browser to manage apps directly from the Wii.

So do I just go to the site, unzip the files, put them on my sd card, put them in my wii, and then I move the browser to the homepage? Or do I still have to do the twilight hack.

where can i buy a sd card already loaded? I don't have the ability to to do this and neither does my computer.
