Kitten-free Tenchu IV trailer
We're sorry to report that the latest media from From Software and Acquire's Tenchu IV does not feature adorable historical kittens. But on the upside -- if there can be said to be an upside to a lack of kittens -- the video is instead chock full of badass ninjas assassinating folks and threatening one another in gravelly voices. That's pretty good too!
After more bad Tenchu games than good ones, we aren't sure why we're so hopeful about IV. We'll have to wait until the Japanese release in October to find out if the return of Acquire means a return to form or if this is going to be another Z-grade release.

I think we should start making a game of guessing who wrote each post, but i have too much time on my hands
I'm feeling Hinkle or Candace on this
And on topic: I'm really liking this game's lighting, and how well it's doing the "realistic" look on Wii.

More bad than good Tenchu games???
As I remember Tenchu, Tenchu 2, and Tenchu Wrath of Heaven were pretty solid.
Tenchu- because it was the originally awesome one.
Tenchu 2- Stage Editor: Hours and hours of fun for friends.
Tenchu Wrath of Heaven- VS mode + Bonus Stage. Awesome sauce.
Tenchu Z and Tenchu Fatal Shadows got some pretty bad beatings from big reviewers... though I feel Fatal Shadows deserved it (it was too blurry for me, and I didn't have glasses or contacts during those days... it REALLY hurt my eyes), Tenchu Z was definitely fun and most reviews were a bit harsh on it.
... I count 3:2... so... that's more good ones than bad ones...
.......or are you including the DS version? *shudder*... then they're tied. 3:3.
