Hacker crams NES experience into NES controller
While we lack the skills (and free time) it takes to do anything other than blog, folks are out there, doing crazy DIY projects. This is one of them. Now, we don't condone the use of illegal emulators and ROMs, but cramming an entire NES experience into the NES controller is impressive nonetheless.

Yet life was fair enough; he rocks at modding.

Nice, but sort of excessive and it's been done before. Excessive because the remote needs to be hooked up to a computer. Well, if you need to be hooked up to a computer in order to use it, you really don't need an emulator and roms built in. I remember seeing one of these that had the emulator and roms built in, but hooked directly up to the tv. Now that actually makes sense.

It's still kinda cool that he could play on computer's that aren't his. NES doesn't feature many games that need saving your progress, but it'd be hella nice with a SNES.

Isn't that just a controller with a memory storage? I would be really impressed if he managed to cram the NES hardware in there.
Don't think there's even enough room to plug in a cartridge in there though.

I wonder where I can get the tools to do one of those myself.

Now that's awesome. Figure out how to do that same thing but make it plug into a TV and you're on to something. And I thought just having NES on my DS was pretty dang cool.

It's a NES pad with a 1gb flash drive stuck in it, that's hardly cramming.
Sure as hell is a good idea though.

2 port USB hub, 1GB flash drive, and USB keyboard controller should fit nicely in an NES controller, I don't think any "cramming" was necessary here. The hardest part would probably be connecting the NES pad's buttons to the controller (most likely the controller from a cheap USB keyboard, since these are cheap and easy to hack), though that is probably just a bit of soldering.

Great. At that rate, it'll be the year 2026 by the time we can start using roms built into our wiimote/nunchucks.

SWEET!

Incorrect title on WiiFanboy. He's not a Hacker he is a Modder!
