My God this looks inane. Could you not just stand in your living room and randomly punch the air and save yourself the money?
This video is like a parody of every skin-crawlingly twee "this game is so gimmicky and dumbed-down even girls can play it" Wii commercial. Cue creepy sanitized middle-class family with their disturbing fake smiles pretending that waggling their arms is the most fun they've ever had in their lives....
Oh well, I suppose it's good that this sort of casual shovelware is put on WiiWare now, rather than polluting the retail shelves.

Naw, it doesn't look that bad. It's no worse than Samba de Amigo. I can see getting into it like I got into that one stage in WarioWare where you have to mimic the scary multicolored latexed people on screen. I'll try it out as long as it's less than 10 bucks...

@Hamster: "Could you not just stand in your living room and randomly punch the air and save yourself the money?"
So I'm assuming you don't like Guitar Hero or Rock Band either, cause couldn't you just play air guitar or air drums or sing without the game, and save yourself the money?
Now that I think about it, couldn't you run around your yard pretending to shoot bad guys, and save yourself the money of buying FPS games as well?

Why would anyone want to play this on the Wii or any game for that matter? That controller looks like a dildo. Maybe if they had a Wario shove it up your own ass game, then maybe...........

I remember when I used to bicker about which console was better. "The N64 is better! No the Playstation is better! Blah blah blah blah blah!"
For whatever reason I stopped giving a shit about that nonsense around the time I hit puberty.
PS: This game looks like shit.

these ads are always so funny... at least the girl in the dark shirt is cute. I'd play with her!

wtf? how did they know which move to make? did they guess randomly?
sn1per @ Jul 23rd 2008 10:21PM

This is not a new concept, however it is newer here in the US. Back when the PS2 was reasonbly new, Para Para Paradise was a Japan only game.
Of course the technology to read movements is alot better on the Wii. For Para Para, you had these sensors you had to scatter all around the standing space to read your hands' movement.

I wonder if it would be better to have a set of LED-equipped wrist and ankle bands with a stereoscopic camera to detect 3D position.
At the rate the Wii is going, that will probably be a peripheral at the next E3...
Rocketboy @ Jul 24th 2008 7:29AM
Para-Para-Paradise for newbies?
Sora57 @ Jul 24th 2008 10:31AM
Dancing with Skeletor? This looks awful.

Anyone notice they're using 2 Wii Remotes instead of a nunchuck? If you dont have a second Wii Remote you're assed out. Some of those movement would be impossible with my monkey arms and a tethered nunchuck. Game looks silly anyways, meh.
