Another freeware game swims to WiiWare
Hey, there's a party beneath the sea, and you're invited! Reflexive Entertainment just announced a WiiWare version of its maritime-themed PC puzzler Big Kahuna Reef, except because this is the Wii and the Ultimate Party Machine, it's now called Big Kahuna Party. Adding Party has worked for at least one other title, we believe.
Gameplay in Big Kahuna Party is of the "line-tiles-up-to-make-them-disappear" variety, and while that may not sound wildly exciting, there will be both co-operative and competitive play for two to four players in all of the game's 99 levels. The reward for completing stages is the chance to unlock 26 "beautifully rendered" exotic fish and, uh ... that's it.
Oh yes, and you can totally play it for free already, much like certain other WiiWare games. No release date for this one yet, but we sense it needs to be cheap.

Doesn't appeal to me much. Where's that Strong Bad game already?

Yes, you can already play this game for free. For a total of one hour, after which it stops working and you must purchase it, starting @ $6.99 according to that very link that you posted. Shareware is very different from freeware (which is what you incorrectly labeled this game). This is unlike Defend your castle, which actually is a free flash game. For a game with 99 levels, I doubt that an hour would get you very far at all. Saying that you can play it for free already is misleading, as this shareware is more like a time limited demo, much like the VC game demos on SSBB, and unlike an actual free game. This status shouldn't affect sales at all. It should help, if anything, as you can go demo it on the PC, and then decide if it's worth buying, either on your PC or your Wii. But freeware, it is not.

Good lord, WiiWare keeps getting suckier. Promising start! But now they just continue to trot out garbage.
