I want to see a sequel to XEXYZ. I don't care what anyone says, that game was awesome.

Something similar to new super mario brothers, or Super Mario 4, maybe metriod, sonic, or online multiplayer Q bert. Still jonesin for pacman, F-Zero, excite bike, all the old rare games that they may own, snake rattle and roll, battletoads, double dragon, the 2D duke nukem games, maybe GTA 2.5 MMO, Donkey Kong, Lethal Enforcers, and Duck hunt.

Sequels to Sonic & Knuckles and Puggsy would be awesome. And Robocop vs Terminator. And the Lion King. Quackshot. Castle of Illusion, remember that?
If I go on the list may never end.
Super Hang on?
RUTHLOOSE @ Jul 22nd 2008 9:10AM
SEGA... a new Streets of Rage would make my day, year, life, etc. KTHXBYE!
nirniva @ Jul 22nd 2008 9:15AM
Sonic The Hedgehog 4. 16-bit. 2D. WiiWare/PSN/XBLA.
Actually, I've already made a petition for Sega to get off their asses and make this game already.

I generally like what Nintendo did with Metroid Zero on the GBA, so I figure they could do something similar...either a remake of the original title, or even better, just dress up Super Metroid and put it out again...'cause I don't think I'll ever get tired of it... ;-)
In all honesty, I want a simple, online shooter. Not necessarily Goldeneye, but something like a Team Fortress or like what id is doing with Quake Live. Something I can jump into without pulling out a disc, and then frag for 5-10 minutes before I need to get dinner or go to bed. I just want something _fast_ that doesn't require me to log in to EA's network or WiFi Connect...
Quake Live is all going through the web browser, so surely Nintendo could come up with something streaming that doesn't take up much space on the Wii yet still allows for many maps, leader boards, etc. I'm not even asking for Wiimote/nunchuck...Classic controller and/or Gamecube controller would be just fine with me!

My top 3:
RBI Baseball - with constantly updated rosters through WiiConnect, and slightly better graphics.
Double Dragon - for sure.
Tetris - seriously, I'm not paying $50 for a new Tetris game. Give me something on WiiWare for $10.
Others on my wishlist: NBA Jam, Bubble Bobble, Clash at Demonhead, Contra, Hogan's Alley or Duck Hunt for the Wii Zapper, and a new River City Ransom.
N4N0T3CH @ Jul 22nd 2008 9:56AM
NBA Jam with more secret characters (the inclusion of Bill Clinton was hilarious).
Boom-shakalaka

NES:
Ninja Gaiden 4
Basewars 2
Contra 5
SNES:
Super Castlevania 5
Act Raiser 3
Weaponlord 2 (I don't care what you say, I still think this is one of the best fighting games of all time)
Final Fantasy 14
Star Fox 2
Blackthorne 2
Mortal Kombat 5 (a new 2D, with digitized sprites would be a kick in the pants)

Depends on what you mean by retro sequel.
The only sequel I'd like to see with retro graphics other than Mega Man would be another Link to the Past style Zelda, Sonic (if it was Sonic 3-level graphics) or Donkey Kong Country.
Something like Earthworm Jim would be awesome, but it was obvious even back then that they were going for real cartoony graphics...so I'd rather see a completely hand drawn EWJ, rather than something with 16-bit sprites.
As for games in general I'd like to see have 2D sequels on Wii Ware...well, that's a hell of a list!
Zelda
Mario
Kid Icarus
Metroid
DKC
Earthworm Jim
River City Ransom
Final Fight
Streets of Rage
Sonic
Double Dragon
Castlevania
Space Mega Force
Lolo's Adventure
...and damnit, I'd love for Nintendo to make a new Nazo no Murasame-jō/Mystery of Murasame Castle. I played the ROM and it was great fun and I usually hate ROMs because...I dunno. I just can't get into them. Has to do with the keyboard, I think.

ToeJam & Earl 4. Styled just like the original, with randomly generated levels and wi-fi play. Please, Sega.

So no one here wants to see a Rocket Knight Adventure/Sparkster sequal?
hellhammer @ Sep 27th 2008 5:28PM
PLOK.
One of the best (completely under the radar) platformers ever created. Amazing humor, character, and level design. Art style that rivals current titles and addicting and enjoyable music.
Wiiware is a perfect platform for a sequel. Get to work Pickfords.
