Chrono Trigger scans trigger only wonderful memories
The DS version of Chrono Trigger is an almost direct port of a thirteen-year-old SNES game, with nary a pixel out of place. In other words, a quick visit to Google Images should be enough to see what we're getting on our handhelds later this year, but we're still going to link these Chrono Trigger Famitsu scans because guess what: it's frakkin' Chrono Trigger on the DS.
Hit up Gamekyo for the full scans, and let's hope we see more of the second screen and/or the Wireless Play mode in the next batch.

Well, it's nice to see Lucca and Marle and company again of course, but there's still nothing there that didn't look exactly the same years ago. When will we finally get a screenshot that shows the _DS_ version?

Ummmmmmmmmmmmm, that IS the DS version. It's a port, thank god.

Kinda going on what Kimiko said: Wheres the picture showing it in action??
I want to see how they tweaked the interface for use with the DS, all the pictures they have up is just the same it looked on SNES ( which is obvious though for a direct port).
I hope they corrected all of the miss-understandings and story mess ups from the american version..

GoBob - How do you know it's the DS version? The screens we've seen so far could just as easily have come from the SNES version because there's nothing there that wasn't in that version.
Like Dan said, I want to know what's new about this upcoming release. The DS has two screens, so how are they going to use the second one? And what about the stylus
A good idea I think would be to move all the dialogue, status and menu boxes to the screen that doesn't show the action. But so far it doesn't look like it. All I can imagine from these shots is that the other screen will have a map or something, which isn't really that useful.

I was hoping for a cosmectic makeover while the gameplay stays faithful to the original. But overall, I'm excited that is even coming out for the DS.
