Mega Man 9 for 10 bucks
How much would you pay for a brand-new Mega Man game? Chances are, unless you hate Mega Man games, or an adorable blue-suited robo-boy busted your jaw when you were in fifth grade, 1000 Wii Points is a fraction of what you would consider a fair price. According to Famitsu, that's the price point for Capcom's new miracle, Mega Man 9. We were actually expecting more for a sequel to a high-profile series like that.
And we'll end up paying more: like Nintendo Power, Famitsu alluded to downloadable content in its latest writeup. There is no information at all except that it's planned, so all we can do is speculate about the possible DLC: weapons, levels, enemies, costumes -- who knows? It'll drive the price way up, and we'll happily shell out all our Zenny for it.

DLC for Mega Man? I'm not sure if I dig the sound of paying for extra levels/weapons/bosses. If the DLC brings the game over $30, I'd say it's not worth it for an 8-bit game that didn't spend much time in development.
Needless to say, I'm a huge MM fan and will be buying this game regardless of DLC.

Now let's get some Mega Man no VC, please.
Oh, and it would be so awesome if the DLC is just a bunch of new levels. That would be awesome to have like 30 different men (or women) to fight against.
I'm so freaking excited for this game. I hope they give us some kind of date for North America at E3.

:cough: Anniversary Collection :cough:
ChunkyB @ Jul 9th 2008 12:32PM
Yeah, I have the anniversary, so I guess I shouldn't really be in any hurry to get them on VC. But I'd really love to play MM2 on my Wii with the wii remote and wireless and what not.
I'm thinking of getting the Mega Man X Collection too, but I'm holding out for now.

ChunkyB, good luck on finding the X Collection. I've been trying for a couple months now. I can only hope that Capcom re-releases it on one Wii disc instead of two GC discs

Ok, that sealed the deal. I'll buy it.

So if costs us 10 bucks to buy a newly developed NES game, Doesnt that prove that people have been severly over paying for the NES games that are 18 years old.
Dan Davis @ Jul 9th 2008 11:21AM
Yeah, but you can't blow into a downloadable.
Retro-tech workarounds FTW!

The fact is: People would.
People know they can get it for cheaper, but people think it's worth the cash.
So in the end: Overpaying? No, paying enough.
Overpaying is when people question whether to pay for it or not.
