Moon footage defies gravity, hardware limitations
Renegade Kid's Moon continues to look like the hotness in the latest videos of the game posted by IGN. These are by far the lengthiest direct-feed clips we've seen to date, and display a fluidity and style that managed to leave a strong impression on both us and Matt "I love Zack & Wiki, me" Casamassina.
"Moon Out-Metroids MP Hunters," proclaims the latest headline on the IGN editor's blog, and that's not just lazy hyperbole -- we actually agree with him.
Take a gander at two more videos past the break.

Im cautiously hopeful. As opposed to the crisp and vibrant stills posted in the gallery, the levels were seeing in these clips seem, by and large, to be bathed in a murky, monochromatic glow, which worries me, considering that my eyes glaze over pretty quickly when playing games with these sort of environments. Other than this, everything else in the clips screams awesome, thoughespecially the music, which was doing a great job of conveying atmosphere; it was downright chilling in spots, even through the tinny speakers of the DS and the compression of the video. At this rate, nothing short of the news that one shoots by blowing into the mic is going to keep this from being a day one purchase.

The gameplay looks pretty good, but after watching all 3 videos I want to cut my ears off. The sound is just awful.

Is it just me, or does this game look more like Metroid Prime than Metroid Prime: Hunters did? From the music, the graphics style, to the way he takes the elevator down, it shows the background moving fast as he looks around with it reflecting in his visor, and then it opens up to the new area and pans around... exactly like it does in Metroid Prime when you go to a new area.
Looks cool, but maybe too heavily influenced and recycled.

This looks very terrible.

If you look around with the touch screen, I'll buy it.

An amazing FPS on the DS is still going to be crap, in my opinion. Don't get me wrong, MPH was amazing. The environments, enemies, control scheme, all impeccable given the material the developers had to work with. However, this is a genre that just really does not translate well. Even if the game is amazing, its still going to give everyone hand cramps after 10 minutes.

Well, I use a big extendable stylus, no hand cramps at all...

well we've already seen a new control input used (the paddle port)(the guitarhero thing).....so is it impossible for them to release an anolog stick atachment hell maybe even two analog sticks....if they make it right you should still be able to reach the shoulder buttons...I know it is an outrageous long shot but hey if we start complaining...maybe the will...
