The
big news over at DS Fanboy got us thinking about how Sega has been using the Wii to unleash updated Dreamcast titles on us. Titles such as
Samba de Amigo and
House of the Dead 2 & 3 Return. Since the DS got the Cadillac of dream remakes/updates (we're still not sure yet), we were wondering what dream title, from the most dreamy of past consoles, would you want to see remade for Wii?
Virtua Cop? We call dibs.
Jet Grind Radio? Nice choice.
Shenmue, right?

Wii HDD ----=> Downloadable Dreamcast games.
:C It would make me happy.
MBJ @ Jul 2nd 2008 8:24AM
How about a Chu Chu Rocket port on WiiWare?

Nigeria @ Jul 2nd 2008 8:24AM
Damn, David already a couple of the games I would have named - not Shenmue, though.
Also a new Confidential Misson, Fighters Megamix, Last Bronx, Panzer Dragoon, Steep Slope Sliders, and/or Puggsy would be cool. Or, better yet, how about a new Sega console?
Oh yeah, and a new Robocop vs Terminator. Make it happen.
Sisyphus @ Jul 2nd 2008 8:31AM
A 4th console on the market would be instant fail.

Ok, just reread the post. Disregard half of what I just said.
I'm still one of those guys that says, 'I'm playing my Sega'.
Avoli @ Jul 2nd 2008 8:31AM
Mr.Bones (Saturn) For its time that game was pimp, and I still love it. As for DC, give me Power Stone!!!
Go1denchi1d @ Jul 2nd 2008 9:03AM
Power Stone 2!!!! Chu chu rocket would be nice too!
John B. @ Jul 2nd 2008 9:25AM
Oh God, so many good memories with my good old Dreamcast. Jet Grind Radio, Chu Chu Rocket, Shenmue, Ooga Booga, Power Stone, the original Soul Calibur (the sequels were awful), PSO...I guess the rest of my favorites were all pretty readily available on other consoles. THPS, Gauntlet Legends...the Dreamcast was amazing and I still don't think it deserved to die.
SegaPleaseMakePanzerDragoonWii! @ Jul 2nd 2008 9:31AM
Once again, Panzer Dragoon Orta.
I'd love a port of Orta, but a whole new game would also be incredible. I'll say it again, if you take the greatest on rails shooter of all time, add IR pointer control (the best on rails shooter control method of all time), you will have a God-like, life changing experience of a game. Do it now, Sega!
SegaPleaseMakePanzerDragoonWii! @ Jul 2nd 2008 11:05AM
Wow, it seems I lack the ability to read and understand things. I didn't notice that we were talking just Dreamcast here. In that case, give me a Soul Caliber upgrade/remake. Why? Because the Wii doesn't have one single 3d fighter worth a damn, and that game had the best single player fighting experience of any game ever made. Add WiFi and I'd have to change my shorts.
Sisyphus @ Jul 2nd 2008 9:45PM
Well, at least you're getting the Castlevania fighter then.
aniki21 @ Jul 2nd 2008 9:34AM
Never mind the Dreamcast, I want to see a remake of the Saturn's magnum opus, Panzer Dragoon Saga.
samfish @ Jul 2nd 2008 9:46AM
Space Channel 5!
I also want Shinji Mikami to helm Streets of Rage 4, while we're at it.

Space Channel 5 Part 2
s.mario @ Jul 2nd 2008 9:58AM
Let me start by saying that my Dreamcast is still hooked up, and used on a semi-regular basis.
Here's my suggested list:
Alien Front Online
Armada
Bangai-O
Cannon Spike
Capcom vs. SNK 1&2
ChuChu Rocket
Crazy Taxi 1&2
Dynamite Cop
Ecco the Dolphin
Evolution 1&2
FF: Mark of the Wolves
Fur Fighters
Grandia series
Heavy Metal: Geomatrix
Jet Grind Radio
Jojo's Bizarre Adventure
Last Blade
Marvel vs. Capcom 1&2
MDK2
Nightmare Creatures II
Ooga Booga
Outtrigger
Powerstone 1&2
Project Justice
Quake III Arena
Rayman
Ready 2 Rumble
Silver
Skies of Arcadia
Soul Caliber
Star Wars Jedi Power Battles
Sword of the Berserk: Guts' Rage
I have owned, and played, and loved all of these games on the Dreamcast. I would recomend trying them all if you've never heard of some of them.
Geoff @ Jul 2nd 2008 10:57AM
Give me Cosmic Smash and Rez on one "Japanese Dreamcast Classics" Wii disc and I'm done. Both were BORN for the Wiimote.
Luke @ Jul 2nd 2008 11:05AM
I still have my DC and love it; don't have a reason to buy the remakes. But a JSR/JSRF remake with Wii-specific controls would be awesome. Using the Wiimote as a spray can to tag? The possibilities are endless.
BlackFreefall @ Jul 2nd 2008 11:07AM
I missed on a chance on buying Dreamcast when it first came out, mostly because I love my PS2. Surely this is a good thing for those who have never yet to experience any of DC's games.
Shaq-Fu @ Jul 2nd 2008 12:07PM
Skies of Arcadia, something to go alongside Fire Emblem and Tales of Symphonia at the Wii RPG.
Bangai-O, to go alongside the DS release
Capcom VS SNK, or SoulCalibur, which seems perfect for motion attacks
Flag to Flag, with more tracks, teams, etc.
Ikaruga via WiiWare
Jet Set Radio
Phantasy Star Online
Resident Evil 2 (bring camera down to over the shoulder TPS)
Quake Arena III
Silent Scope or Virtua Cop
Rez
Thats all I got
Dave @ Jul 2nd 2008 12:16PM
Tokyo Bus Driver.
Let's face it any game where you crash your first five attempts at 4 miles an hour is a winner.
Great game, pick it up...

SEAMAN with new content recorded by Leonard Nimoy!

Chu Chu Rocket would make for an excellent Wii Ware game. Not only is it still has addictive as it always was, but I think it's simple enough that it would find a home with Nintendo's "casual gamer" philosophy.
Jet Set Radio also seems likely- what with shaking the spray can and drawing your tag on your tag.
igorponweed @ Jul 2nd 2008 3:37PM
Okay, JGR (duh), SC5, Crazy Taxi, Soul Calibur (/w GOOD motion controls!), Skies of Arcadia, Some more (that were not off the top of my head.), and some I never actually played like, Rainbow 6, Ikagura, Power Stone, and Typing of the Dead.
jazzyd @ Jul 2nd 2008 3:41PM
id have to say BURNING RANGERS that was a good game made by the nights/sonic team for the saturn an update wld be ace on the wii, and other systems like the amiga sinbad by cinemaware was a cool game but with the wii remote the sword fighting and throwing stones at cyclops wld translate well to the wii and also a msx game called penguin adventure by konami wld play really well with the remote in the steering wheel position
Matthew Miller @ Jul 2nd 2008 3:59PM
Loved the Dreamcast (Skies of Arcadia is the best, under-the-radar-game ever) but some Saturn remakes would be killer like Iron Storm or Dragon Force.
Ryudo @ Jul 2nd 2008 4:23PM
Skies was Ported to Gamecube so can get that there.(and yes it f-ing rocks)
JSR def want a comeback as a new 3rd game(or port the original) but for the love of everything sacred in the universe bring us SHENMUE! restore my hope please sega for the 3rd chapter.
Mr Khan @ Jul 2nd 2008 5:04PM
More PSO, proper PSO, an episode 5, and a compilation for Wii. Burning Rangers, Fighters Megamix, Chu Chu Rocket, moar Panzer, and even the revival of Crazy Taxi. A console with more RAM could only benefit it
Shalan @ Jul 2nd 2008 5:39PM
Space Channel 5!!!
Jet Grind Radio
Crazy Taxi

I know it's not a Dreamcast title... But, the only Sega game that I'd like to see re-released is Panzar Dragoon: Saga from the Sega Saturn. Crappy console, yes. But, what an amaxing game! I've such fond memories of morphing my dragon into all kinds of cool shapes. Plus, that "Orta" game really stunk. And I've never been able to find a good Saturn emulator or a PD:S rom. So, that's the one game I'd love to be able to play again. (without paying hundreds for the title online)
feba @ Jul 2nd 2008 7:01PM
I'd still like to see Shenmue's ending worked out, and then the entire saga released as a single epic game for Wii. Mainly because you simply CANNOT do the pointing mechanic on other consoles, and that would be PERFECT for Shenmue. Shenmue's pacing would also probably hit better with Wii gamers than on other consoles. And of course because the Wii isn't as powerful as the other consoles, they could likely get away with very minimal graphical improvements, which would save a lot of money in development. And releasing it all as one game would allow EVERYONE the ability to go through the entire saga; NA gamers don't really have the option of keeping their save data because of releases across consoles and such.
Adam @ Jul 2nd 2008 8:59PM
Typing of the Dead.
So much. Since the Wii's compatible with USB keyboards now, it'd be a natural fit.
slowpoke2 @ Jul 3rd 2008 12:05AM
Ready 2 Rumble Boxing, need I say more, I feel your pain, let's get ready to rumble.
Brad @ Jul 3rd 2008 9:53AM
While not technically a Dreamcast exclusive, I would love to see a new Crazy Taxy game using the Wii Wheel. Along with that... Seaman 2 with it's own Wii Channel that mocks you whenever you activate it.

How about a Sega racer compilation, with Daytona USA 1 & 2, Sega Rally 1 & 2, OutRun 2006: Coast 2 Coast, and the like?
Ganthor @ Jul 3rd 2008 11:47PM
I too have my Dreamcast hooked up for use. In fact, I was just playing some jedi power battles with my nephew the other day. Anyway, most of the titles I'd suggest are already listed here, so I won't bother repeating them. However, I'll have to add Record of Lodoss War and super puzzle fighter 2!
