Rumor: 'Not final' box totally gives away Samba maracas

"Not Final Packaging." Yeah. Sure. Whatever, Sega.
We've always believed that the Wii version of Samba de Amigo would be lacking without a maraca peripheral of some description, and it appears we're not alone: Sega itself has already hinted (warning: prepare your retinas before hitting that link) that it was looking into the situation, and now this box has appeared on the site of UK retailer HMV.
Because we're pros, we're going to label this as "rumor" until Sega removes that unnecessary disclaimer. But let's be honest: if you seriously believe some art dude wasted his time randomly designing a bigger-than-usual box with fictional maracas on the front, you probably believe that the Komodo dragon lays its eggs in November. In other words, you'd be a gullible idiot.

Um, didn't Samba de Amigo Wii's boxart used to have the red Pay-to-Play Wi-Fi logo and not the blue one?

The European box has always had the blue logo. Europe may not be getting the pay-to-play DLC. Which is a bit annoying... Unless of course we get the content for free. Which I wouldn't mind. =P

*OCD ALERT*
But why is the base of the left maraca gourd white, while the the right one is red?
Plus the Wiimotes are totally stretched out of proportion. Not saying there won't be maracas, I just can't imagine Sega would bork up the box art like that.

The Wiimotes do look a little long. The colors may be different like that though so that you can tell the difference between left and right.

So you're actually going to have to use two wiimotes to play this? It had better come with a spare. My friends all just bring theirs over when they play. I only have one.

If true, it has definitely moved up on my priority list. All it has to do is get higher on that list than Izuna 2...
