A guided tour of Mario Super Sluggers' stadiums
With the recent news that Nintendo's Mario Super Sluggers is only 2 months away for those of us in North America, you're probably too busy dancing and making noise in a fit of excitement to actually be reading this. That's okay, we'll leave you to that.
As for the rest of you, check out the lengthy video above. It documents all of the stadiums and their unique hazards, as well as showing off their look during both day and night in-game. If you don't want the stadiums ruined for you, then we suggest you check out some of our screens below for your fix on Mario Super Sluggers.

... am I the only one who's actually not excited about this game?

Nope! I too do not care. Go-Karts are fast and exciting, but baseball is... not.

To be honest, up until the hidden DK characters were confirmed and I heard the beyond awesome credits music this game wasn't even a blip on my radar.
Right now, its a definite rental until I see the reviews.

I too am not excited.
I want my non-gaming friends to play more than Wii sports with me so why not use the Mii's in more games?! (I know, get new friends. I'm Gen X and only a few of us were gamers unlike almost everyone today, but we're converting them one at a time)
Everyone I introduced to the Wii spent a lot of time making them (because its fun!). So why doesn't Nintendo take this approach in all of there games? Sure let me play as Mario or Donkey Kong if I want (I don't), but how about the option of a field of Mii's? Especially the one's I downloaded that are hilarious looking!

hey edgeone, you CAN use mii's in this game. whatever mii's you have on your wii, you can use. so make a whole team of them.

It's nice to know that there are other people who know all the names of all the obscure Mario characters.
It's also interesting how Nintendo is kind of combining the Mario series with the Donkey Kong series. They're really starting to mix in Donkey Kong characters in the Mario spin-off games.
This game looks really fun, but I'm kind of concerned about how long it's going to stay fun. For example, Mario sluggers was really really fun... for a while. I hardly ever play it now because it's just so boring.

"It's also interesting how Nintendo is kind of combining the Mario series with the Donkey Kong series. They're really starting to mix in Donkey Kong characters in the Mario spin-off games."
Mario spawned from the original Donkey Kong arcade game, so Mario and Donkey were always intertwined, right from their creation (although in the original DK game, Mario was known as Jumpman).
The two have also been featured in spin-off games for a long time - like Super Mario Kart from way back in 1992.

Donkey Kong Country is a spin-off game that became it's own series. Now spin-off characters who have no relation to the original incarnation are making appearances in the series. That's what I'm talking about.

the replay value of this game would be much greater WITH ONLINE SUPPORT. what the hell nintendo.

Having owned Mario Superstar Baseball for the 'Cube, I'm actually a little sick of the Mario/DK characters. I wish it was more like SSB, with Link, Ganon, Samus, Fox, Snake, etc.
Every franchise should have their own team... Imagine playing against Team Zelda (Ganon, Link, Zelda, Wizzrobes, Octoroks, and the crazy old woman who sells the potions -- sorry, I haven't played a lot of the later versions of Zelda LOL)
