Madden NFL 09 sticking the boot in with new trailers
Are all football players blockheads? That's what EA might be trying to say with those giant bobblehead players in the above trailer for Madden NFL 09. Here's an idea -- grab a copy of the game and head down to the local arena. Find a group of guys and taunt them with your nerdish ways, saying EA are right to parody player intelligence and the meaning of life is 42. It's a foolproof plan.
If you're an NFL fan or not, Madden has been an acclaimed addition to the Wii library in the past and this year's entry looks to be no different. The bobblehead players are taken from the arcade-style 5-on-5 mode, but simulation fans can still duke it out with the traditional, realistic style. Head past the break for another, correctly-proportioned video of a full stadium experience.

Nice to see them go with a bit of an art style to cover up the graphical lacking of the wii rather then just using old art and saying "meh" This actually looks really fun, I've liked madden on the wii so far, first football games I've really enjoyed since madden 93 on sega. Just awals felt short-handed on the visuals department

sure, it looks silly and juvenile. but does it look fun? CHRIST yes.

I think this is fun, but stylistically it basically looks like another party style casual game. even the bobbleheads are remind me of miis in a sense. Though it still is kinda cool i think there really should've been a push to get a more "hardcore" realistic version out there. I'm kind of getting sick of all the sillyfication (yes its a word) of games that are bound for the wii. it feels like everytime Hello Kitty has a new outfit, its the same cute bs but packaged differently. i dunno i dont like football games anyway, but it is disappointing. yes i'm a nintendo lover too so if you want to bash me do so, i'm just saying that it wouldn't hurt to have some serious games

I have a PS3 for realism... my Wii is for escape.

i just hope they fine tune the controls, madden 08 made me mad with it's controls. Madden '07 was thrown together quickly and the controls were almost perfect. I am hoping that this game reverts back to 07. It is always a must buy for me. Go Steelers!!!!

Happy to see the Raiders suck even in bobblehead football.
Go Steelers!
