We have seen some really girly
case mods (and
cases!) in our time, but this design is near the top of the chickalicious heap. We're willing to bet reader Juri never misplaces her Lite, since it probably reflects any and all light sources and emits beams of
pure pink happiness. That's got to be convenient.
Juri picked up a
DS decoration kit and went to town on the above, though she reports only having used part of the set, which was apparently quite epic. Since each item has to be affixed separately, there's a lot of room for personalization, even with the pre-designed sets (and we'd bet it's tiring). The charms also serve as styli, which is a neat touch.
Show and Tell is all about your stuff, so long as it's Nintendo-related. We love to see your collections, your crafts, your frosted creations, your t-shirts and swag of all sorts. Just snap a few pictures, tell us what's up, and send it all to showmeit [at] dsfanboy [dot] com. We'll take care of the rest.

My question is, how do people who mod their DS' in this way protect the decorations from just getting pulled off by their sweaters or something that will stick to them? You can't exactly slide this type of DS into just any case.

I've been wondering the same thing all day. If I went to the trouble to glue all this stuff onto my DS, I would then never, ever want to touch it. Maybe Juri will stop by and answer!

Well, it's a hell of a lot better than that Paris Hilton one. God, that one was awful. This one actually looks pretty classy.

This looks like it could be a bride's wedding accessory. ... That would be an awesome wedding!

That's so cute! I like it very much. :-)

I was worried about the decorations when I first bought the kit...surprisingly though the glue they provide is *awesome* and it would be really really hard to break those gems off of there unless you had lots of time and glue remover.
When I take this DS lite out I use my Zelda hard case that I got with my pre-order of Phantom Hourglass. Doesnt quite fit with the girly theme, but has enough room that I dont worry about anything getting dented or marked (It is a white lite too afterall).
I am a girly girl though, so I have the extra handbag room to spare!
Normally on workdays when I dont want to carry alot I just use my old pink DS lite for carrying with me (even though its slightly broken) and I mostly use this uber girly one for either gaming at home or when I go out to play some multiplayer^^; (which thankfully is quite often).
That being said it would probably be just fine in a cloth case or something that wasnt as bulky, its just the Zelda case wasnt doing much in my drawer anyway.
