Samurai Shodown is one of the best 2D fighting franchises on this planet we call home. It's spawned countless installments and even garnered enough popularity that some of the franchise's characters were featured in games outside of Samurai Shodown. It's an incredibly competent fighting game that has managed to stand the test of time and remains one of SNK's most memorable franchises.

The game was certainly a testament to the Neo-Geo's surpassing ability towards the "arcade perfect" experience

So.. this game rocks as much as I remember. But the d-pad on the classic controller sucks for fighting games. Yup, time to grab another Hori fighting stick!
