Knights in the Nightmare is just as confusing in videos
Sting's Knights in the Nightmare has managed to catch our attention with its pretty visuals and unique-sounding gameplay, which you can get a small taste of in the video above. Even so, we still don't feel like we've grasped how exactly this "turn-based RTS" works.
If you thought the screens needed more explanation, the gameplay footage embedded after the break might just confuse you even more. Knights in the Nightmare screams chaos like no other, although we find it all rather intriguing. Assuming you can get the gameplay figured out, the language barrier won't even be too much of an issue for those hoping to import. The heapings of English voices and texts in the two videos should soothe the fears of all the non-Japanese speaking Sting lovers out there. You'll have to wait a few months, though, since the release date was pushed back to September 25th.
Check past the break to get a taste of the baffling gameplay.

I'm a lot more confused by the spellings. What's up with replacing all the s with l in the trailer?
The video also reminds me a lot of the DVD version of Broken Saints, for some reason.

Gothic script. That's what it looked like back then. It's also sort of old-English, because if you read the Declaration of Indepedence, the S's looked like l's with strikes through the middle. It's just a little difficult since the video is squeezed in.

I can kind of accept that it is a different way of writing s, but the thing that confused me the most was that, at the end of the trailer, the letter s in Knights is a conventional-looking s even though it seems to be written in the font as the rest of the trailer.

My guess is that you click on a character and aim and fire a special all using the stylus. That's why it looks so confusing.

pfft, way to go on your magnificent lelling, guyl.
Anyway, pretty music, though "screen" being lowercased bothers me a bit...

Those aren't spelling mistakes in the english text, it's old gothic script. That's just what it looks like. And also, whu...?!

The animation looks very 'Yggdra'-like...
Hopefully, this game doesn't share the same frustration level as Yggdra Union.
It seems like it might be a nightmare to figure things out, particulary if its all in real time....
