New Mario Kart Wii tournament focuses on Toad

A new Mario Kart Wii tournament has been revealed on the game's Japanese website. And, as you've gathered from the title of this very post, the tourney will focus on Peach's little helper, Toad.

You can see, the track for the tournament will be Mushroom Gorge. Racers will need to go through the track backwards, as well as have selected Toad as their driver. For those of you who want to get their practice in, have at it. The date on this tournament says it will begin on June 15th.

What do you all think? Better than the last tournament?

I was not a fan of the last tourny, so yes I think this will be better.

The last tournament was kick-ass (though I couldn't make anything less than 0:30...sigh). But this looks...very interesting.

I liked the last tournament and it was cool to find out that there are more levels and stuff hidden away on the disc, yet to be revealed.

I have no idea how people got such fast times. Last time I checked the records were in the 12-13 second range. My best time was ~19 seconds on a very lucky run. I could barely get two of the bad guys in 13 seconds, never mind all four of them...

I think I'll like the new one better. While the last one was a nice change of pace, and it was certainly timed...it didn't feel like RACING, which is what Mario Kart is about. If there was a Galaxy boss stage where Mario hopped on a motorcycle and took those guys on, now we're talking.

I'd consider it... if I could play as Toadette. I like Mushroom Gorge, but my time of 25 seconds in the last competition is something I want to be proud of, so I prefer the Topman competition so far. I want to play as Rosalina in this one... thanks for ruining it, Nintendo.
