GameStop handing out Deoxyses this month [update]

Deoxi? Deoxes? However you want to pluralize it, Gamestop is offering downloads of that Pokémon in stores from the 20th to the 22nd and again from the 27th to the 29th. Deoxys is a Psychic-type Pokémon who has four different forms. If you're still playing Pokémon Diamond and/or Pearl, or if you have an overwhelming obsession with the catching of them all, bring your DS and game down to the store and be prepared to be hassled about preorders of games you don't want.

A few years back, NASA used Deoxys to help teach related science concepts like DNA to youngsters. And now GameStop's using Deoxys to help get youngsters inside GameStop!

Although this is more bearable than going to a Toys R Us and seeing a bunch of 10 year-olds screaming for Darkrai(?), I'm probably not going to do this. I still don't understand why they don't put stuff like this in the new games as stuff like Uxie, Azelf, and Mesprit, where you can just find the location and capture them. They could even do it over the GTS.

I got Manaphy from Toys R Us in September of last year, and Darkrai from there recently. It's actually not bad, trying to get it with all those kids around. Don't feel embarassed about doing stuff like that. No one has a right to judge you for your hobbies, even if kids do it as well. Also, it only takes you about 15 seconds to download it and a minute after that to actually recieve it from the NPC in the game. Just go in and out. No lines or anything. I hope GameStop has it just as easy.

I am NOT embarassed to go to the events. I have enough self-esteem to handle it. :)

Besides, lots of people I know play Pokemon. They started trying to help their kids play the game, then got hooked on it themselves. LOL.

I first started playing the game to learn how to get Mystery Gift for the Toys R Us Manaphy event to help my nephew. Now I'm catching all 25 natures of Kadabras/Abras, to help me get the best nature for Dialga/Palkia later in the game.

Getting these events really isn't that bad. When I went to go get Darkrai, I saw five or six other people in their mid-20s also getting Darkrai. Only saw one young child beyond that. Age really shouldn't matter; if you enjoy something, then do it.

I'm getting Deoxys for sure. Besides, the guys at GameStop like me there. =P

I just go the these events with a bunch of my female friends that have Diamond and Pearl. Only one of them is on the hardcore side of Pokemon, though.

I know you guys are just trying to be witty with this post (and I'd say, you're doing a fine job), but the proper plural forum is "Deoxys." All Pok�mon names are spelled the same both in singular and plural forms.

I saw a bunch of guys about my age at the Darkrai event, and they seemed pretty atheletic. Don't diss Pokemon the video game. If you do I'll rant about how much Madden sucks.
I'll probably get one but I already own legit Deoxys, Ho-Oh, and Lugia through homebrew and gamefaqs.com. Har har har.

When I went in for Darkrai at Toys R Us my dad asked a 20 year old where to go. I had already figured to go to the video game section that houses the Pokemon games but he wanted to be efficient about it. I'll definitely get Deoxys for my brother and me.
