Sonic Chronicles trailer is a page-turner

Wow, this Sonic Chronicles trailer is an instant classic, if promotional game trailers have classics. Check out that model planet they made just for that one shot! Somebody spent hours making a miniature just for that one fly-in. Unless it's CG, in which case ... somebody spent hours making a 3D model just for that one fly-in.
Maybe it's goodwill from the excellently baroque special effect, but we're also generally impressed with the rest of the comic-book-style trailer. The footage (which we can see briefly as it goes by) looks great, and it even seems to use the same "moving panels" style as the art in the trailer! We're so excited about how this is turning out that we don't mind the approaching comments threatening Sega for calling Eggman "Eggman."

Every Sonic Chronicles post from here on should have this amount of glorious enthusiasm. Only hyperbole can dull any nagging doubts I have about this game - a game which will be great!

robuttnik is a nickname sonic from them old cartoons gave him. robotnick or whatever is still eggman.
anyways, looks good. did they hire that movie narrator to do this trailer?!

After Sonic 2006 came out I seriously have no hope for Sonic Team's development prowess anymore.

It's being developed by BioWare, not Sonic Team.

Yeah, but surely SEGA has some hand in the whole thing? Maybe not Sonic Team itself, but SEGA. And for releasing crap like Sonic 2006 in its current state makes me feel uneasy about ever purchasing any Sonic game anymore.
