Circuit City has a Wii for you, but there's a catch [update]

Sad to say, but it's the truth. You can order a Wii right now from Circuit City, but you're going to have to bundle some stuff with the console. When looking over what you have to buy, however, it's really not that bad of a deal because you should be expecting to buy these games anyway.
So what do you need to purchase? Well, the Wii console (duh), an extra Wiimote and two or more of the following games and/or accessories:
Considering that you were going to pick up Super Mario Galaxy and Smash Bros. Brawl anyway (if you weren't planning on it, may we ask if you're insane?), it's not that bad of a deal. And, for those of you still desperate to get a console, this might be the best solution.

Find a walmart in some farming town way out in the country, they'll have 10 of them on the shelf. I got one from a walmart about an hour drive out side of Houston, TX on the way to the beach.

That's how I got mine a couple months ago. They monitor all the sites that sell Wii's. You have to be quick though, they will tell you Amazon is selling it and you have about an hour before the site sells out ... probably less.
I got one from Toys R' Us online because of that site. It's a great tool for anyone looking to buy a Wii -- although I would have assumed if you are on the fanboy site you already have the system.
Kmart and Sears are both offering systems right now, the production of the console has increased, hasn't it? I don't think they are nearly as hard to get as they were a couple months back. I see them all over the place since Fit came out.

The day WiiFit came out, my local Target had 10 wiis on the shelf. along with 4-5 copies of fit.

I don't get it. Maybe it's just where you look, but in Canada (Toronto, specifically), every single Shoppers Drug Mart has a steady plentiful stock of Wii's. DS's too.

This isn't really news, or blog worthy imo. There are tons of sites out there that track online retailers and keep track of what deals they have open at any given time. These deals are usually up and gone in the same day, except the most expensive bundles (500$ to 600$ toys-R-us bundles come to mind from when I got my Wii).
Just google "wii tracker" and you should find a few. Some even have RSS feeds so you can read NintendoWiiFanboy and your wii tracker side by side ;)

OSNAP! Mirk is questioning the merits of your blog, Dave. Them's fightin' words where I am from. "This isn't blog worthy." Damn. People get killed in the streets for so much less than that, ya heard?
You don't hit on another man's woman, you don't pee sitting down, and you DON'T question the worthiness of another man's blog material. That's just how it goes. That's called being a man. This is whack.

my walmart now has a ton of wii. in fact, a lot of the shops have them. I've been seeing them fairly regularly for awhile now.

When I checked Circuit City last night, you only had to buy the Wii, remote & nunchuck, and only one game.
