My Baby Girl/Boy video scares us away from parenthood
It's not often that we post trailers for baby-raising sims, and one look at this video from My Baby Girl/Boy will explain why -- they're scary. Obviously us and most of our readers aren't the targeted group for such a game, but even so, we think this might deserve and "M" for "Mature" rating. How much more mature can you get than raising a baby anyway?
My Baby Girl/Boy also seems to leave nothing up to the imagination, except for the birthing process (and who knows, maybe not even that). From bathing the babies, to playing games with them, to wiping their butts and changing their diapers, you have to do it all.
To be nice, it does seem that the stylus works well for the gameplay involved.

so, if you neglect the baby long enough, will (s)he die? I've always wanted dead babies on my DS.

They'll probably say that it's sleeping and won't wake up for a while... a long while.

I wonder if you can drop the baby...

Three things:
1) Who puts diaper changing in a baby book?
2) Damn, that looks boring!
3) "Girl/Boy"? What? Does everyone gets a hermaphodite baby?

Did anyone else notice that the music is some weird remix of "Boy/Girl Song" by Aphex Twin?!
Deozaan @ May 30th 2008 9:35PM
Thank you! The game sucks but that music rocks! I was going to ask what it was so I could get it!

I for one look forward to pitting infants against each other in blood and gore filled melee mayhem.
Bebé a bebé.

I think the most important thing about babies is missing--the crying. Oh, and the waking up at 2am to change and feed. And did I mention the crying?
Hmmm... maybe if I knew about this last year I could have got it instead of the real thing. :-P My four month old isn't really as fun as this game makes babies seem to be.
miruki @ May 28th 2008 7:13PM
Really? My 2 1/2 years old boy is and has always been a whole lot of more fun than this game.. oO
But I have to agree, these games really do give off a false impression on baby caretaking. Babys cry alot and are never satisfied with just getting tickled or when you shake a rattle in front of their face. Geez.
At least the babys in this game don't look as scary as those zombie-babys from that other game. I actually thing that little girl who comes running at you at the end of the trailer is rather cute... just, the SFX are really scary. Psycho-baby laughter......
I really do prefer playing with my son instead of playing this.

KILL IT.
KILL IT WITH FIRE.

The official website's much scarier than this.

Text and VOICEOVERS in our own language are incredibly scary.
