Wii Warm Up: Hurry up with that sequel

Which sequel would you want to see the most on the Wii over any other sequel, though? Skies of Arcadia 2? Beyond Good and Evil 2? Eternal Darkness 2? Something else?

Well, since I don't think we're going to be getting a sequel to Dragon's Curse on the TurboGraphix16 anytime soon, I'd have to say that a Klonoa sequel (or threequel, if you prefer that appellation) would be a perfect fit on the Wii. It would most likely be a lot like Lost Winds, which has, I'd say, a similar feel.
treqie @ May 18th 2008 10:49AM
Kid Icarus or Eternal Darkness 2, I think.
Bobbo @ May 19th 2008 3:17PM
Grand Theft Auto IV.
Lord Bowser @ May 18th 2008 10:51AM
Super Punch Out.
Lord Bowser @ May 18th 2008 11:19AM
And I forgot: Marvel Vs Capcom 3.
halonut @ May 18th 2008 10:56AM
Skies of Arcadia 2, I love exploring and digging up secrets of the past and finding treasure and things of old and junk like that, plus the Skies of Arcadia universe had a lot that I could dig into, and left (for me at least) a lot of unanswered questions. so its Skies of Arcadia 2. Or Shenmue III, but I don't see that happening.
Nicholas Tam @ May 18th 2008 11:10AM
Not that it will happen given the Capcom/Clover situation, but I could use a Viewtiful Joe 3 - with minimal waggle, of course, given the precision of control the game demands.
Roto13 @ May 18th 2008 12:40PM
God, yes. It's supposed to be a trilogy, dammit!
CPerez @ May 18th 2008 11:17AM
If there's any hope... Baten Kaitos 3
Kaki @ May 18th 2008 1:33PM
I totally agree. Unfortunately, like you said, it's not very likely to happen.
Cheese Muffin @ May 18th 2008 5:01PM
;-; YES. I just finished Origins today, and now I'm itching to replay EWatLO.
The art style was awesome. The music was fantastic. The story was, IMHO, was slow to start but once it got going, damn it... it was beautiful. The combat system (in both games) was great... I have yet to see a game pull off a card system that satisfied me more than BK's.
*sigh* It'll never happen though... The games sold... well, let's not talk about that.
At least, could we have that Baten Kaitos DS that they were thinking about but canceled?
Onomah @ May 18th 2008 11:36AM
Mother 4: the fourening.
samfish @ May 18th 2008 11:49AM
I'd kill for sequels to any of Clover's games...Viewtiful Joe 3, God Hand 2 or Okami II.
I hold out the slightest hope that Capcom will release VJ3 someday, preferably on Wii Ware.
I'd also like a Sonic & the Secret Rings sequel set in Sonic's actual environment. I'm kind of sad that Sega isn't developing that formula further for the Wii. It had some flaws, but was indisputably the right direction for Sonic. Taking a step back and regressing Sonic isn't the way to go, IMO.
Kid Icarus, of course.
Wii Sports Golf, with improved controls and dozens of courses.
A survival/horror-esque Metroid.
A Smash Bros Adventure game that's entirely single player/co-op with cut scenes and voice acting to make the story make a lick of sense.
...
Oh, and an ACTUAL Banjo sequel. I want "Banjo Threeie", not "Banjo's Customized Blast Corps, Featuring Newly Irrelevant Kazooie".
SWAT Kats are back! @ May 18th 2008 12:27PM
The real step back will be how Sonic Unleashed Wii will be Sonic Unleashed PS2, and since they're not using tilt-controls, there really won't be a difference between them
At least, the pessimist in me feels thus
Unbreakable_idea @ May 18th 2008 11:50AM
A Panzer Dragoon sequel to xbox1's Orta. One of the greatest console shooters of all time meets IR control, the greatest console shooter control method of all time. Instant win. Come on Sega, do it.
Nigeria @ May 18th 2008 1:47PM
We have a winner!
I've been calling for a Wii Panzer Dragoon game for ages, man. And you're right, the IR is perfect.
Sega, you heard the fans, get to it.
Unbreakable_idea @ May 18th 2008 11:53AM
Play Super Swing Golf: Season 2. Lots of depth, items, unlockables and character progression over many courses. It's the only Wii golf game, as far as I'm concerned. +50hrs and it's still not 100% complete.
Unbreakable_idea @ May 18th 2008 11:59AM
This was supposed to be a reply to Samfish's request for a Wii Sports Golf sequel. Super Swing Golf 2 is better than Wii sports golf in every way.
samfish @ May 18th 2008 8:01PM
Super Swing Golf would be great, except for the retarded controls.
I don't like SSG because you have to hold the controller juuuuust right, charge up your shot and lock it in. It's annoying.
That's basically how you play golf games on consoles that aren't the Wii. Wii Sports and Tiger Woods got it mostly right, they just need fine tuning.
...I'm also let down by We Love Golf.
J rod @ May 18th 2008 12:03PM
I cant decide which I want more: Eternal Darkness 2 or Skies of Arcadia 2. Eternal Darkness 2 could be really interesting. But Skies of Arcadia 2 would be just as good.
I want both. And I hope UbiSoft has a heart and decides to put BG&E 2 on Wii.
samfish @ May 18th 2008 8:08PM
BG&E 2, assuming Ubisoft actually markets it, would probably sell best on the Wii, given that there's basically a pre-installed action/adventure base thanks to Zelda (too bad Capcom doesn't seem to get this with Okami).
It sold best on the GC, too, apparently.
...sad, though. Demographically speaking, the game holds even less appeal to the average PS3 or 360 owner.
Oh well.
jasper @ May 18th 2008 12:16PM
3 words: EEE ternal darkness 2
SWAT Kats are back! @ May 18th 2008 12:29PM
Hurry the hell up with Fatal Frame IV; Nintendo, Tecmo, and Grasshopper Manufacture; hurry up!
Ty @ May 18th 2008 12:30PM
I would definantly like to see a Beyond good and evil 2, also a new Metroid installment would be awesome!
Fullmetal Salchemist @ May 18th 2008 1:36PM
I'd like to see all three. BG&E and Skies of Arcadia on Next-Gens, and Eternal Darkness would have to be on the Wii (because Nintendo owns the license, as well as the patent on the sanity meter).
SWAT Kats are back! @ May 18th 2008 1:37PM
They didn't sell the license when they let Silicon Knights go?
SWAT Kats are back! @ May 18th 2008 1:43PM
Huh, a quick Wikipedia hit explains it all. Either they'll try to make the sequel for 360, but, much like the Goldeneye XBLA, Nintendo will issue a cease-and-desist, or they'll have to make it for Wii
Fullmetal Salchemist @ May 19th 2008 4:28AM
Yeah. As long as BG&E and SoA are on the real consoles, I'll be happy.
Leela @ May 18th 2008 1:47PM
Pikmin !
sxp151 @ May 19th 2008 1:25AM
In the real world, I agree on Pikmin, since it'll probably happen eventually.
In my own little fantasy land, Shenmue 3 is the obvious choice.
Nigeria @ May 18th 2008 1:47PM
Another Fighters Megamix or, more preferably, a new Last Bronx game. That'd be perfect.
Oh, and a Panzer Dragoon game.
Laughing Bat @ May 18th 2008 1:53PM
Seeing as its my favorite game of all time, I want to see an Eternal Darkness 2. I'm just gonna assume its never gonna happen until they announce it because I'll lose what little sanity I still have going nuts over it if I don't xD.
David Kearns @ May 18th 2008 2:03PM
BG&E Please!!!!!!
And I'd like to see ED2 but with combat that isn't frustrating, I never was able to finish the first I just got too frustrated with movement and combat.
Santos L. Halper @ May 18th 2008 2:11PM
Skies of Arcadia 2
Pikmin 3
Sin & Punishment 2
No More Heroes 2
And Camelot needs to get its ass started on Golden Sun 3 (wii or ds)
samfish @ May 18th 2008 8:09PM
A new Sin & Punishment would be awesome on the Wii.
I hope it's one of the games Treasure is making for Nintendo!
lobotomies4free @ May 18th 2008 2:30PM
pilot wings. it's just been too long, and wii controls could be GREAT
calamidades @ May 18th 2008 2:32PM
ninjabread man 2 FTW!!
Dan @ May 18th 2008 2:44PM
Am I the only one who thinks they could really do a Red Steel 2 game right, having learned from their mistakes?
samfish @ May 18th 2008 8:02PM
Yes, you are. Because you're forgetting that it's Ubisoft making the game.
Thus, mistakes will not be learned from.
phantomexe @ May 18th 2008 3:35PM
O god i want a cooking mama 3 with online head to head cake bake off wouldn't that be cool? O YEA btw i'm kidding
Spekkio @ May 18th 2008 4:46PM
I'm looking forward to the next installation of "Marvel Ultimate Alliance." Online play and more characters, please.
milan @ May 18th 2008 5:15PM
F ZERO Wii (or F-ZEROW, perhaps). Please. Seriously. Just do it already! I don't care what kind of controls, whatever. I just want it.
yanipheonu @ May 18th 2008 6:41PM
F**k yes there needs to be a Skies of Arcadia 2. They are sorta alluding to one, since Vyse and Aika appear in a PS3 game, so there's hope!
SyNNeR6x3 @ May 18th 2008 7:51PM
Lets see I'll just do this is a list style with reasons why the games listed need sequels...
1.) Eternal Darkness 2 (Amazing Game...it Just needs to Happen)
2.) GUN 2 (Great Game + The First one was way too short)
3.) 007 : "Insert Random Title" (JB:007 Games are always fun, plus with the addition of The Wii's Wifi and Friend Codes the 007 Multi Player would be endless fun... (editable maps and arenas, etc...)
4.) Donkey Kong Wii ( anyone else wanting the crap outta this?)
5.) Glover 2 (One of the Funest and Hardest N64 games ever!)
6.) Donkey Konga 3 ( Before Guitars there were Bongos!)
7.) XIII 2 "XIV" ( 13 left the ending wide open for a sequel)
8.) Beyond Good & Evil 2 (Great Game... Needs to Happen)
9.) Perfect Dark Wii ( I know that RARE is gone but this would be amazing)
10.) Soulcalibur 3 ( One of the Greatest Fighting Games Ever!)
and that is my top 10 list... in no particular order!!
samfish @ May 18th 2008 8:10PM
I'm hoping so much for Donkey Kong Country 4 on Wii Ware, personally. Nintendo needs to stop crapping on DK by putting him in stupid games.
Unbreakable_idea @ May 19th 2008 3:47PM
I second the Gun 2 and XIII 2. Gun was great but short, and an XIII sequel could look great on the Wii and control even better. Also, I wouldn't mind a Red Dead Revolver sequel. How cool would quick drawing be with the Wiimote? Very cool.
Meowser @ May 18th 2008 11:04PM
You know, my favorite game i wish they would make a sequel to is Metal Arms: Glitch in the System. That game had some amazing ideas behind it and it was left with an ending signifying a sequel. I loved being able to hack into other bots!
Haohmaru @ May 18th 2008 11:23PM
Elf Bowling: The Final Strike
Andres Romero @ May 20th 2008 1:23AM
1. Eternal Darkness 2
2. The Legend Of Zelda: ????
3. WiFi enabled Wii Sports
Aaron @ May 19th 2008 4:08AM
Pikmin 3, without question. Hurry the fuck up Nintendo.
Beyond Good and Evil 2 and Eternal Darkness 2, as well.
