Expect more WiiWare this Monday
Konami and Hudson both spilled the beans on two major WiiWare titles, Critter Round-Up and Star Soldier R, informing us that they will be available for download on Monday. As you all know, we're dying to get our hands on Hudson's shmup and were disappointed to not see it at the WiiWare launch.
So, what about the Virtual Console? It's possible that VC fans could get the shaft again this Monday, however in Japan Nintendo has been known to release Virtual Console games alongside WiiWare games on the same day. We'll just have to wait and see, we suppose.
Who's anxious to try out Critter Round-Up and/or Star Soldier R?

Also, in the leaked press release, under where it says alkali the titles, it says next week's wii-kly update will have WiiWare and Virtual Console games.
Let's hope Earthbound comes and takes $8 from me. :D

I have both those games in Japanese already, come on release something new!

I hope they at least offer one VC game, just to shut certain fanboys up.
If people aren't complaining about new stuff getting released, they're complaining about old stuff not getting re-released. Last week was mind-boggling with the amount of incessant whining about no VC for that week.
Like they were seriously expecting Chrono Trigger, Majora's Mask, Super Mario RPG, Vectorman, Earthbound and whatever other specific game they've personally been wanting all to be released on the same day as newly released content exclusive and (mostly) original to the Wii, as well as being Nintendo's answer to XBLA just launching for the first time.

Yea I'm perfectly ok with no VC releases last week, I'll take LostWinds over some generic TurboGraphx16 Shmup any day.
I hope Dr. Mario releases along with these two as well.

Although I'm sick and tired of deleting so much from my Wii memory, I am very interested in Critter Roundup. But after that, I hope to see either Bomberman or Gyrostarr ASAP.

I think 2 of each would be a perfect balance.
Sisyphus @ May 17th 2008 9:58AM
I completely agree. That would be a nice balance of new and old.

It's too bad Star Soldier R is so gimped, hopefully that ESRB Rating for Earthbound will see it out on monday.
