DS Daily: A welcome dose of improvement

That got us thinking about how many of you out there have improved your own life through these kind of self-help titles. Have you found your brain power increased through regular Brain Age use? Have you improved your vision with Flash Focus? What training titles have you used to enhance your life and how has it improved?

Never really used anything execpt the first Brain Training, and I always end up forgetting about it in favour of ACTUAL games :) oh well

I really got into Big Brain Academy. I liked Brain Training but the voice recognition was somewhat shoddy and that always messed me up. Yesterday, I started Let's Yoga. I'm still impatiently waiting for My Japanese Teacher or some other good Japanese tutor. I cannot believe no one has created that game yet.

After DSFanboy did the week long look at the My French Coach.....I picked it up......I knew French in small amounts but I bought the game and stuck with it and I would say it has helped..ALOT more then most books will help......The mini-games didn't do much for me but hearing the lady say the words was good!......If you want to learn another language I would suggest this DS application.

Flash Focus is a load of crap.
I don't know if Brain Age freshened up my brain or if I just got better at the mini games.

Japanese student here. I've found the Kanji Sonomama dictionary to be really, really helpful. Life-changing, perhaps. I thought the Kakitori-kun kanji training game would be good, but it's really uninteresting and not user-friendly.
I'm planning on getting English of the Dead to reverse-train in Japanese. I'm also planning on buying my mom the Spanish Coach.
