Activision reveals Pitfall: The Big Adventure
Exclusively for the Wii, Activision is bringing another entry in the Pitfall franchise to Nintendo's console. What has us confused about all of this, though, is that these images look very familiar to Pitfall: The Lost Expedition, which released on the previous generation of consoles. Could this just be a port of that game, now with waggle?
Our hunt for similar screens to compare has come up empty. The press release mentions there are over 60 levels to play, but says nothing to the fact that this looks like a game that already released 4 years ago. When we find out, we'll let you know.

I find it amusing that WiiWare games like LostWinds look better than that.

Can't the Wii get just ONE game with some friggin' effort put into it from 3rd parties?
Just *ONE*! It's not like we're asking for much here! Good lord!

All budget games or ports (and I love some of the games listed).
And indeed, Z&W was a budget game. A very, very GOOD budget game, but nonetheless...

Ahem brother, I'm banking my money on Conduit. I feel the developers have taken the time to produce something substantial. For me that will redefine Wii, I pray it works well although so far it is looking great.

I think we're forgetting the greatness that is Nights.

Jesus christ Activision sucks.
Thx RyGy, your list just made me realize how awesome thirdparty support for Wii can be.

This looks like a Data Design, bargain bin effort already. Couldn't we have gotten a realistic looking Pitfall that doesn't' look like crap?

If they did that they'd run into copyright disputes with Sony and Naughty Dog

Um, that's because they're taking the engine for the Pitfall game 4 years ago! Man, this is pathetic. Although RyGy's list was pretty nice, it still is pretty weak compared to the 360's 3rd party support. Too bad they're all too lazy to unlock the Wii's real potential.

I groan whenever I see a screenshot of this freakish misinterpretation of Pitfall Harry. David Crane is spinning in his grave despite being alive and well.
