Nigeria @ May 6th 2008 3:10PM
I saw this today and I laughed. But you didn't post the best part: the epic DDR battle between Our Hero Rain and Colbert.
I'm still down that Rain came second, but I'm getting over it. A DDR game chockablocked with dozens of Rain/Omarion songs would sell millions on the Wii. Millions I tell you.
Konami: you know what you have to do.
Patrick @ May 6th 2008 5:18PM
Came in second what? Rain won. They played DDR and his feet moved so fast that it exploded and Stephen got knocked down.
Haohmaru @ May 6th 2008 7:19PM
Just a hunch, Patrick, but I think Nigeria's talking about the Time magazine poll. >.>
Psy @ May 6th 2008 3:14PM
Am I the only one who has never found Colbert funny?
snkngshps @ May 6th 2008 3:22PM
Yes.
Rocketboy @ May 6th 2008 3:43PM
Never, probably yes. Anymore? No.
Avoli @ May 6th 2008 5:34PM
I'm with you. Everything usually sounds forced out of his mouth.
SoshiKitai @ May 6th 2008 6:01PM
"Everything usually sounds forced out of his mouth."
That's usually part of the humor.
Margaret @ May 6th 2008 3:15PM
^_^ i thought the segment was incredibly funny, and i don't think Colbert was really cutting down Mr. Shigeru in any REAL way...
and the dance of with Rain... PURE GENIUS!!!
Zertoss @ May 6th 2008 4:02PM
So I guess now it's on like Donkey Kong?
hvnlysoldr @ May 6th 2008 4:12PM
Everyone pile on for the Nintendu 64 rocket!
Fullmetal Salchemist @ May 6th 2008 4:19PM
Wait, who is rain and how is he so influential?
SoshiKitai @ May 6th 2008 4:28PM
......just ask Kpop-fans.
Tons of internet fangirls love the man, but Kpop fans would know how to describe him best.
But if you want to dodge the awful rantings of bouncy fans, just go here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rain_%28entertainer%29
Fullmetal Salchemist @ May 6th 2008 4:39PM
Oh. How exactly is a Korean popstar influential?
Scotty @ May 6th 2008 4:39PM
Rain is pretty influential. It influences my decision on whether to ride my bike to work or not, or what sort of jacket I should wear. Though I would think the Sun would be ranked higher...
SoshiKitai @ May 6th 2008 6:01PM
Popstars are influential in the way that they take up media-reports and time... :P
But I suppose the real answer you're looking for is: He's so influential, he influenced enough fans to vote for him. :P
James @ May 7th 2008 11:35AM
I thought the same thing when he won last year. Apparently, "influential" means you can get every single citizen of an entire country to vote for you in an online poll, even though the rest of the world has never heard of you. I guess I'd agree with that.
Papytendo @ May 6th 2008 4:38PM
Maybe with luck Colbert can Shiggy to come on the show. But, I don't think Shiggy doesn't speak English.

WOW that guys is about as funny as having AIDS
James @ May 7th 2008 11:32AM
So, hilarious then?
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jared_Has_Aides
It's been 22.3 years, after all.
CJLopez @ May 6th 2008 5:13PM
Last time I trowed a barrel to an Italian Plumber that went by the name of Mario, he presented a lawsuit, xDDDD
Jay @ May 6th 2008 5:22PM
I expected much more calling out of Shiggy.
and that DDR bit was a travesty.....Rain is Korean and therefore should have been playing Pump It Up
XionPH @ May 6th 2008 5:37PM
It's an American show made for an American audiance. Rain came to America to dance off, Colbert did not go to Korea.
Jay @ May 7th 2008 12:59AM
Then they should have been playing ITG.
That's almost as american as Colbert himself.
Christian @ May 6th 2008 11:38PM
Colbert is a comedy GOD, and if you can't see the humor in what he does, then you sir are soulless.
Spekkio @ May 7th 2008 2:15AM
Huzzah!
Rocketboy @ May 7th 2008 8:34AM
I'd rather fill my soul with the likes of Lil Jimmy Norton, Louis CK, Patrice Oniel, Patton Oswald, and the like.. Not comedians who see a barrel full of fish, and decide to make their career taking shots at it. Colbert, I'm looking at you. Making a mockery of someone who is already a mockery of themselves isn't funny, it's lame and self gratifying.
