Wii releases this week: Boom Blox edition

Wow, it seems like it was just a short while ago we were talking about Boom Blox for the first time. Actually, it wasn't too long ago. But, the game has come a long way since then and we know many of you are looking forward to it. As for the rest of this week's games, well, we're pretty sure that they're not going to win any popularity contests.

This week's releases are:

The Dog Island
Boom Blox
Speed Racer
Rebel Raiders: Operation Nighthawk

wow, you failed to mention one of the best games coming out this week Blast Works: Build it, Trade it, Distroy it. Gosh it looks better then boom blox in my opinion.

Agreed. Boom Blox looks like it would get old very fast... I don't understand the appeal, and I don't think it would have any popularity at all if it wasn't for Speilburg's name on it.

Bashing is part of our opinion of said topic, which is the whole reason to post. IE: discussion about topics here can sometimes show opinion of the topic, imagine that.

Bashing is also what PS3fanboys and Xbox360fanboys and Wiihaters love to do.
It gives my brain a rotten aftertaste whenever I think about it.

As far as I can tell, most other "bad" games in this site weren't bashed on. But just because people actually WANT to get the game, it gives people the complete right to bash on it. As if you could sway our opinions about the game.
You know, like what people do with No More Heroes and Super Smash Brothers Brawl.

We say we hate them for doing that, and there we go, doing it ourselves.

Doesn't seem like progress to me.

But I suppose if you want me to give you my previous response through an opinionated manner: "Hey, get a life. Hating will only make you waste your breath on deaf ears."

Calm down there Josh the world won't implode due to shovelware and excess mini-games...actually it will. Boom Blox isn't a mini game pack its a puzzle game that actually has had thought put into it.

I really want Boom Blox, but I'm still going through Okami, and haven't even played Mario Kart Wii yet. And then there's WiiWare next week.

I need to learn how to stop time, or something.

Also still working on Okami...that game is ridiculously long (and awesome).

I got to a point that i was sure was the end and it was just the beggining, i was actually like 1/4 way through the game. I think i've put like 25 hrs or something into it already and am only half way through.

But i think this looks fun, i like puzzles, and it looks like something my girlfriend could get into.

I'm all up in that Boom Blox. i haven't been this unerservedly excited for a game in quite a while.

(That includes Kart Wii, which I still have a lot of trepidations about.)

What's Dog Island like? It sounds kinda cool. Maybe a horror game where you fight zombie dogs? Or an RPG where you grow your own dogs and fight against evil zombie dogs? Or maybe a platformer where you jump on zombie dogs?

....

Just tell me there are zombie dogs!?
