N-Space making a ... bag-tossing game for WiiWare?
Considering that the only N-Space-developed game we ever enjoyed was Geist on the GameCube, it's no surprise that we had absolutely no idea they were working on a WiiWare game (but we did know they were working with Wii). Now that we've found out what it is (Target Toss Pro: Bags), we're actually kind of intrigued, albeit because we think we're in some kind of dream right now, waiting for someone to wake us up.
Seriously, you toss bags? Like, that's the game? We're shocked into submission, because we really can't believe that they're making a game where you toss bags. What's in the bags? Smuggled diamonds? Dirt? What's next? A WiiWare hopscotch game? How about Duck Duck Goose? And what's with the name of the game? Is it implying that other Target Toss Pro games are on the horizon? Target Toss Pro: Bottles and Target Toss Pro: Your Wiimote into the TV anyone?
Perhaps we're just too cynical, but with so many great ideas floating around out there, we're just upset when we see someone is developing a game where you toss bags. Because it's more fun in a video game than in real life. And, believe us, we've tossed bags in real life before. It's not that fun, so we imagine a game based on that concept won't be much more fun, either.

This is too funny. Hey - they're not just people tossing bags, they're PROFESSIONAL bag tossers.
Can you put that down on your income tax return or your passport?
Profession: bag tosser.
OK, a bit of research and I've discovered there's no such thing as the "N. Bag Toss L." but this is the implementation of a coin-op machine.
The coin-op's website (http://www.targettosspro.com/ttp/TTP/Bags/) has a high score page called "Top Tossers"... I guess they don't have any Brits working in their company!!

I read IGN's preview of it, and I'm actually very interested in it.
Broadcast-like announcing and making it seem like a big deal type of sport sounds fun.

I started laughing at the "smuggled diamonds" part. Well played.
And, hey, get your hands off of my bags!

Hopefully there's a salad mode as well.

Why is "Bags" the subtitle? What else could you be tossing? Ballsacks?

If you read IGN's interview, it says that the game is called "COrnhole" in Cincinnati.
"Cornhole" combined with "Bag Tossing"=ROFL

First thing I thought of was this:

Don't worry, it's SFW.

I think Geist's concept of "need a bigger gun? possess a bigger guy" was cool. Just that they got their hands tied. I think Disaster Day of Crisis runs the same risk.

Haha! We have the "arcade" version of this game at my work (TGI Fridays) and it is pretty awesome. Uses the same system as Golden Tee games (the spinning ball). It's a fun game. Not sure how well it will translate into a WiiWare game though...

This is the kind of thing that might be nice to have in your dorm room or apartment on a weekend. Sit around with a few friends and have some drinks while you're playing. Leave the door open and see who else walks in. I think people will be curious because it seems like such a random pick-up-and-play game. Plus it doesn't have cartoon graphics, which is great!

you guys dont understand, for that matter neither do I. It's called cornhole and here in good old Ohio you can't drive down a street in a college town without seeing college kids drinking natty lite outta cans and playing good ole' cornhole. its crazy and kind of a running joke. the game is kinda fun though.
baby sea tuna @ May 2nd 2008 10:32AM
Yeah, they call this Cornhole here in Baltimore too...though most of us call it "Douche Bag" since that's what most of the people who play it are.
Ben @ May 2nd 2008 1:22PM
obviously you've never been to cincinnati.
cornhole started here and is part of daily life in the summer.
but this game is just a dumb idea. should've been an add on to deca summer sports or whatever. no one's gonna pay 30-40 bucks to toss bags when they could go outside and do it in real life for free. stupid game execs.
Bohampscious @ May 2nd 2008 4:02PM
If it's Wii Ware it will only be $10-$15.
hvnlysoldr @ May 2nd 2008 8:46PM
I've just seen a cornhole games sign in Chardon...
