The first (somewhat) decent Wii Wheel clone

Brando's Wii Multi-Axis Racing System has a more traditional design with an attachable steering column and suction cups at the bottom to keep it in place. It really looks more expensive than the $18 Brando is asking for it, but you'll have to remember that there are no actual electronic or complex parts.
Mounting the wheel to the column should keep the Wii remote angled correctly while you race around Mario Kart's tracks, but, then again, that might also make it tough to pull off waggle stunts. Drift past the post break for more photos of the Wii Multi-Axis Racing System.

but all the houses i've been to with a wii, including my house doesn't exactly have the wii on the kitchen table. so where are the suction cups supposed to stick onto...your knees?
nxtiak @ Apr 17th 2008 9:48PM
You set it on the coffee table and you pull the table up to you where you're sitting down on the couch in the living room.
cbylife @ Apr 17th 2008 10:15PM
but see, that's just it nxtiak. what if the wii isn't in the living room? what if it's in the players bedroom? like mine and i'd say 90% of other players are.

I thought you have to violently shake the Wiimote to gain a boost or something.
How might you do that if the wheel is anchored to your coffee table?

Michael J Fox should be banned from entering all tournaments by default.

Nintendo Power says that you only need to flick the Wiimote upward to do a trick.

I have been using this for about a 3 weeks. I got it for my 4 year old to drive Monster Trucks in Monster Jam. Finally he can turn the truck and have fun crushing things.I highly recommend it.
It gives you the option to free wheel in air or attach to base. I use a piece of plexiglass to suction the base on and place it anywhere.
I will say this, if you have a kid or are a bit harsh on the turns the "spring back" will fail quickly but it does not impact the experience at all. It REALLY helps kids drive better and I use it every time I race.
B button is very accessible and other than the spring failing the overall construction is VERY solid.

My kids recieved this for Christmas with a mediocre driving game (Cars). While the game is bad, the whell is very good. The spring function brings you to center and has worked very well, you can play with it just like the Wii Wheel. B button is exactly like it is on the Wii Wheel.
I plan on playing Kart with Wavebird or wiimote nunchuck, but if you are using the wheel, this is a great choice if you need more than one.
