Virtually Free: Mystical

You may have noticed that Virtually Free has moved to Wednesdays. Don't worry! It's not going anywhere! You'll still have your chance at free Virtual Console games every other week ... just now, we're a day late. This week, we've only got one game to offer up, but according to David Hinkle, who chose this week's prize, it may be all you need. Up for grabs? Legend of the Mystical Ninja (800 Wii points/$8) from the Super Nintendo.

So what do you have to do to win? First of all, you have to leave a comment (with a valid e-mail address) on this post suggesting a game for a future edition of Virtually Free. It must be available on the VC in the U.S. at present. Second, you must be a legal resident of the United States with an American Wii (sorry, Canadians, we have to leave you out of this one; blame the gifting system and not us!) and 18 years of age or older. You may enter once per day between now and Monday, April 21; the contest comes to a close that night at 11:59 PM Eastern time, and we'll select a winner in a random drawing the next day. Questions? I'd like to see any Treasure game given away. Gunstar Heroes, Sin & Punishment, Alien Soldier. Treasure has one of the best track records in the industry, and these titles are amongst their best.

Legend of Kage--Lots of replay because it so damn hard!

Legend of Mystical Ninja has been plaguing me ever since some time in the 90s when the game froze on me and I lost my save file. Haven't tried it again yet but a free game might do the trick ;)

I'm being really negative anymore about Nintendo's products in general, or this site as well. However is it just me, or are most of the available games on virtual console just shitty anymore. I haven't seen a worthwhile release in quite some time.

Where is Earthbound, Star Fox, Mario RPG, Majora's Mask, and other top Nintendo games that people really want available?

I've literally went to demonoid, typed in Nintendo and seen hundreds of games rom torrents that should have easily been placed onto the virtual console many months ago or should be released quickly in the future. Since I haven't wasted a single point on anything since purchasing Kirby's adventure for the NES when it came out.

Nintendo has greatly dropped the ball on the VC in my opinion. Hell the whole console is quickly losing favor, I've been messing around with PC games more then my Wii lately, and this is coming from a guy that is a Smash bros fanatic, but must say that the game gets boring even with friends around.

Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past

I've been waiting to play that one again for quite some time, as I never bought the game originally, just borrowed it for several months from a cousin. Man I regret that decision.
