Othello ... with a story mode!
Othello de Othello DS is notable for more than just the fact that two of the four words in its title are "Othello." It also features a story mode! No details on the story have been released yet, but we can see from screenshots that there's an RPG-like town for your (quite ugly) character to traverse. Hey, it worked for Puzzle Quest! Being a DS game, Othello de Othello DS also features a training mode, designed to test your knowledge of the game. The "Jibun no Jitsuryoku Check" ("Your Own Ability Check") features 150 questions about the rules and history of Othello.

I got this in my RSS feed, read it, and automatically assumed this was a game based on Shakespeare's Othello. I was excited.
I was all ready to say I'd prefer something along the lines of the Merchant of Venice, Anthony and Cleopatra, or even Romeo and Juliet. Primarily because I haven't read/seen Othello, but also, I can imagine how a developer could adapt the former plays into different games, kinda.
But this is about a board game: Reversi.

I assumed it was about the play too
But the only shakespearean play that would make a good game, IMO, is Julius Caeser, which actually has battles
Or Taming of the Shrew, it could work as a dating sim, a very twisted dating sim

Julius Ceaser: a game of political strategy, you influence crowds in order to gain favour, assasinate rivals in a bid to become next emperor of rome

The irony was astounding in Caesar.
