Super Smash Betrothal Brawl
Brian Klima decided to propose to his girlfriend -- if not in style, then at least in a style. Rather than doing something as silly as speaking words to her, he designed a Super Smash Bros. Brawl stage in the shape of the words "MARRY ME?" He left the game running, then turned the TV off so the stage would be the first thing his girlfriend saw when she turned it back on.
Luckily for Brian, he happens to be with the one woman in the world who would find this charming, as she accepted the proposal. They haven't picked a location for the wedding yet, but we're thinking Skyworld. The registry will be set up with a "very high" item drop percentage.

Kirby, you ever heard of the phrase, "three's a crowd"?
TheWarlock @ Apr 13th 2008 12:19PM
I'm a guy but I have to say thats the cutest thing in the world. You know they're gamers when he proposes through a fighting styled video game. I wonder if you could space out the blocks so it says "I love you"?
SoshiKitai @ Apr 13th 2008 2:13PM
It looks weird when you do.
I found it easier and better-looking when you put
"I *heart* You!" Or even simpler "I *heart* U".
There's also the thin-slopes, you could put those on some spots around the "I *heart* U" to give it more pizzazz. :P

he should have turn off all items except for the zelda hearts and what the hell is Kirby doing there???
maybe Sancho?
SoshiKitai @ Apr 13th 2008 1:50PM
Awwwww, that's sweet! :)
Kinda' lame, but if the girl finds it charming and sweet, then it doesn't matter. :D

Kirby is there because Kirby is awesome
No Smash Bros experience is complete without Kirby

I think comments are supposed to relate to the post, but as far as your question goes, google is your friend

According to the Kotaku article, Kirby is her favorite character, so it adds that extra "Aww" factor.

I just made a stage that says Wii Fanboy .com on it!
:P
Antonio @ Apr 13th 2008 5:04PM
Too bad Kirby can't combine powers like in Kirby 64. That'd be kinky.
hvnlysoldr @ Apr 13th 2008 5:56PM
Ha ha registry scams. Wait that's not funny or appropriate.
Jared @ Apr 13th 2008 7:51PM
lol.
samfish @ Apr 13th 2008 7:56PM
Wait, where is player 1?
SoshiKitai @ Apr 13th 2008 10:44PM
Murdered.
It's just Gamecube controllers plugged in, except for the 1st player slot. (Probably was the Wii controller to turn on the system, but it was turned off after not being used for a while)
Mr Khan @ Apr 14th 2008 9:23AM
That always happened to me, every time i had a GameCube controller plugged, it took precedence over the Wii remote on the vs mode screen, so suddenly i was bumped from P1 to P3
I left them unplugged until i started back on Radiant Dawn recently
cosmo2389 @ Apr 14th 2008 4:18PM
I made one for my friend wishing her a Happy B-Day, I thought it was a pretty neat idea, and this one is too!
Jansperus @ Apr 14th 2008 3:36AM
I'm sure the guy's eager to try out his FINAL SMASH!
Metayoshi @ Apr 14th 2008 5:55AM
Best story EVER! Hmm... Even though I have a gamer g/f, she seems to love the traditional stuff so I might be more traditional than nerdy in my proposal.
In any case, this article is full of WIN! Congrats to the happy couple!
Timdogg @ Apr 14th 2008 9:26AM
Good stuff! I played this game for teh first time this weekend...pretty sweet!!!
Chaos @ Apr 14th 2008 3:31PM
I wish more girls were gamers. It would make a few awkward moments pretty easier. Imagine the awful pick-up lines!
Chaos @ Apr 14th 2008 3:49PM
Oh yes, I almost forgot. Congratulations to the happy couple!
How about a marathon Smash Bros. session for the honeymoon!
