Treasure working on two Wii games! But ...
In an interview with CNet Japan, Treasure president Masato Maegawa revealed that the company, having finished work on the XBLA version of Ikaruga and the DS Bangai-O Spirits, is working on two new games for Wii. Being in a Treasure state of mind, our first impulse was to SET THE 68000 HEART ON FIRE with excitement.
However, our excitement was tempered by the news that these two games, which are designed to make use of motion controls, will be in 3D. Sin and Punishment is great and all, but Treasure's record is spotty at best in 3D games, as anyone who has played Stretch Panic or the merely-good Wario World will tell you. Maybe one of these is the rumored sequel to Sin and Punishment. That would be perfectly okay!

Deja-vu.
ThekonamiMan @ Apr 11th 2008 11:18AM
Awesome, this means two games to add to my very small collection of Wii games.
flameofdoom666 @ Apr 11th 2008 12:02PM
Why is your collection small? I can name atleast 15 games that are MUST HAVE's on the Wii.
Nigeria: Cody ChesnuTT Defense Force @ Apr 11th 2008 12:13PM
Name 15 then.
CJH @ Apr 11th 2008 12:21PM
I'd be hard pressed to find 15 must-have games total on all three of the current gen systems combined.
jadenguy @ Apr 11th 2008 12:37PM
I can probably do 10.
Mario Strikers Charged
Super Mario Galaxy
Wario Ware (if you have friends)
or Rayman (I'm told)
Super Smash Brothers Brawl
The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess
Metroid 3: Corruption
Zack and Wiki (best third party yet?)
MLB Power Pros (best baseball rpg yet?)
Trauma Center: New Blood
and Wii Sports (comes wit the Wii in America)
or Mario Kart Wii (not in America at all, but it looks amazing and everybody else seems to love it, and it's Mario Kart, how bad can they screw it up?)
those are just the standard gamer games. unless you hate any of those genres specifically you'll enjoy them enough to own them.
games you'd like better if you liked the genre:
Fire Emblem
BWii
Geometry Wars (considering cost/benefit)
No More Heroes
Super Monkey Ball (ignore the horrendous minigames)
Random Anime Fighting Game (I liked Naruto, tolerated Bleach for a bit at someone else's house, One Piece doesn't look appealing to me even though I like pirates)
Endless Ocean (considering cost/benefit)
Remakes worth getting if it's you didn't play the others
RE4:Wii
Lego Star Wars: Complete
Guitar Hero III (does it fit in this catagory better than others? MLB Power Pros might also work better down here)
ThekonamiMan @ Apr 11th 2008 1:34PM
My collection is so small because there are very few Wii games that interest me. All I have right now is:
Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles
Super Mario Galaxy
Super Paper Mario
Super Smash Bros Brawl
And of course Wii Sports.

SoshiKitai @ Apr 11th 2008 5:55PM
Blargh! I forgot to add Zack & Wiki up there!
But does it go to the NEEDED LIBRARY, or the UNIQUE?
...hmmm... maybe even Nights, but that goes to Unique.
SoshiKitai @ Apr 11th 2008 6:07PM
And I forgot Rayman Raving Rabbits on the Multiplayer list!! GWAHHH!!! I suck at these lists...
Zachary Hinchliffe @ Apr 11th 2008 12:20PM
I can name some, but not 15.
Super Smash Bros. Brawl
Super Mario Galaxy
Metroid Prime 3
Zack and Wiki
No More Heroes
Super Paper Mario
uhhhhhmmmm....
WarioWare?
Zachary Hinchliffe @ Apr 11th 2008 12:21PM
oh, and including upcoming games, there's Mario Kart and Okami.
that's still only about half of 15.
jadenguy @ Apr 11th 2008 12:58PM
I'd put Paper Mario into the Genre Lover's pile...
Author X @ Apr 11th 2008 1:16PM
Hey, I actually own Stretch Panic! And, uh... yeah, actually it's pretty horrible. But in the fantastic, "so horrible it's awesome" sort of way!
3cubed minus 3squared plus1 @ Apr 11th 2008 2:02PM
I have stretch panic too. It was easy, short, and really crappy but it had a lot of potential.
Mr Khan @ Apr 11th 2008 2:15PM
The only thing holding Wario World back from greatness was how incredibly short it was, even worse than some Kirby games in that respect
Very fun, very short, I never saw reason to do anything other than rent that game, because i could always beat it in one rental period
hvnlysoldr @ Apr 11th 2008 6:39PM
LIST WARS!
