VC Monday Madness video wrap-up 4/7/08

Of this week's Virtual Console releases, there's really only one game I came out caring about. Which one is it? Well, you're just going to have to watch the video above, silly pants! Or, you know, head past the break for the other half of our VC Monday Madness coverage.
Yoshi's Cookie (NES, 1 - 2 players, 500 Wii Points)
Wii Fanboy says: do not download
It's not that Yoshi's Cookie is a bad game, just that it's a bit too monotonous in its NES installment to warrant purchase in my eyes. Sure, I love puzzle games as much as, if not more than, the next person, but you can see for yourself in the video above why I can't recommend this for download. If this were the SNES game, however, I might have a different tune to sing.
Bases Loaded (NES, 1 - 2 players, 500 Wii Points)

Sweet, sweet childhood, here you are in the form of a Virtual Console download. This NES game has almost everything a baseball fan could want in a retro download: a vs. mode for playing with a friend and a CPU AI that tests your skills inning after inning. Forgive me if I love baseball, but it is my native country's pastime.

Man now that Bases Loaded is up, it won't be long until Super Bases Loaded. That game was the shit. That is an immediate download for me.

Yoshi's Cookie is a "do not download"!? I don't get it. It is a great puzzle game. It is not easy like you said in the video, you had a really hard time with it in the video. Also it has the best graphics of any NES game ever. The characters looked almost a good as the ones in Super Mario World for the SNES which was quite an achievement. Really if you love puzzle games you will get your moneys worth with Yoshi's Cookie.
