Rumor: Konami whips up name for next Castlevania

We don't know a huge deal about the next Castlevania game, aside from the fact that it is definitely coming -- we have Koji Igarashi's word on that -- and that some screenshots that may or may not have been faked emerged in January, and looked rather ace.Apart from that? Nothing. Zilch. Except that now, we might have a name, because Konami has filed a trademark registration with the USPTO for "Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia," along with the logo you see to the right. We're not getting too excited yet, however, especially as this could just be a sequel to last year's mobile title, Castlevania: Order of Shadows.

If Order of Ecclesia is indeed the title, then I would expect that this time, the game will be set in Greece.

Sorry Konami, but I am angry again.
The title is Castlevania: X of Y AGAIN!
Come on, I want new titles, Ditch the word of for just one NEW game!
The last new game without the word of in it was Castlevania Legends.
(Chronicles and DX Chronicles are remakes, so no count.)
Although, I am still excited. I want more blood, I want more suspense, and I want a plot that doesn't suck this time.
Oh, and more difficulty, and not artificial (Hard MAX Lvl 25) difficulty. I mean, I want a challenge when I play this whole game.
Also, and the last note: New music that fits the area. Some of the music in PoR did not fit the area at all.
Rant over. I'm a CV nut, so I'll still buy it. Although I still want Castlevania V.

I agree. They're hardly distinguishable anymore.
All I really, really want this time, is NEW, COOL main characters. I need another Simon Belmont or Alucard..someone who looks like they might fight vamps and ghouls.

the previous name was Stolen Emblem, but the order of ecclesia sounds more Gothic-slash-mythological...
but what's in a name anyways?? it's the gameplay that rocks.

I never did look up this Mobile title as I had no access to it (otherwise I'd grab it already.) If it is a port I hope they do a damn good job like Gameloft seems to uniquely be the only company of doing so on the DS as the remaining from others has been trash across the board basically. If this game has little in common with PoR I'll be on board as that game was just crap. Hated the stupid constant switch off especially on the moving platforms area. The zones were feeling halfassed together, the challenge was the least ever, and it just felt so cheap and rehashed it didn't feel new at all right down to the heavily over reused sprites. As of now I'm on pick and choose watch with Castlevania.
