Deca Sports price announced for NA

Hudson is being smart about the company's new sports game, Deca Sports, which will hit North American Wiis on May 13th. Since the little white console already comes bundled with Nintendo's game, the bigwigs at Hudson probably knew they couldn't price Deca Sports too highly. That's why we were pleased to hear of the title's $29.99 price tag. Just ten dollars higher and we would have been a lot more hesitant about this game, but $30 hits our sweet spot.

Where's your sweet spot on this title, though? Do you still wish it cost less, or would you have payed even more to try out Hudson's sporting events?

Wow, I honestly didn't expect any discount on this title. Depending on the reviews, I'll probably pick it up. It almost makes up for the lack of online support.

And honestly, after Brawl where I learned online support is pointless (you might as well be playing the computer), maybe developers really shouldn't even bother.

Alan, I disagree, and think that developers should bother with NWC because I know there are people like me who have friends and family we wouldn't be able to play games with or against if it were not for online functionality. Brawl is online impaired I would agree, but I'm still glad to have it and one would think that it can only get better.

I didn't think they would actually lower the price..My girlfriend will love this game..and I will love how it doesn't hurt my wallet!

Can't wait for this. I would have paid $50 to be honest. $30 is awesome though.

Hope they carry the discount over to Europe as well. Even though I still think the name sucks, this could be a fun game to play in between more serious games.

Well, I've been playing it a lot over the past few days and I must say this game is certainly worth $30. The dirtbike racing is really fun, and the controls for the game are excellent!

For $30 you can't go wrong.

Is it sad that after I get this, I will have four video game versions of curling? (one for Palm OS, ESPN Internaltional Winter Sports 2002 for PS2, imported Minna no Curling DS)?

$30 sounds like a good price for this game. I would have paid more, but enough people will pick it up for the budget price to make up for the extra money they won't get from suckers like me.

I would never consider it for $40-50, but $30 is definately worth a look. I'll probably wait and see how people like it before I bother, but sounds like a great purchase when it hits $20.

I was thinking the same thing... or waiting for one of the Amazon deals to pop up.

I just wish they were coming out with this game a while before or after Mario Kart. Releasing a game with kart play right next to the best kart racer on ANY company's console just seem's silly. Seriously, which version would you rather play... Deca or Mario Kart? No brainer.

I suppose they're going for the market of people who don't want Mario Kart or who want more than just kart racing, like myself. MK sounds like it might be fun, but I just can't see myself buying it, since I really don't like racing games (Burnout 3 is the exception).
