Rumor: Three new colors for Europe

The Dutch site Nintendo Only is reporting that three new DS Lite colors will be available in Europe starting May 1st. According to their "reliable sources," the colors include green, red, and Ice Blue. Lots of people outside of Japan have been waiting for a chance to get their hands on the lovely and kind of soap-bar-esque Ice Blue DS Lite, so we hope for their sake that Nintendo is indeed planning to release it.

The red, as well, could be based on a previously-released system: the Japan Post limited-edition DS Lite. More availability of that one would be welcome as well.

Im interested in what the green one is going to look like. Because you know, not all greens work.

I wouldn't be surprised if they became Mario Red and Luigi Green. They won't but it wouldn't surprise me. Either way, yays \o/

Since I first saw pictures of the thing, I've been trying to come to terms with why I really dislike the Ice Blue DSL, even though blue is my favorite color, and the lighter varieties my favorite shade. And now I know: because it looks like a bar of soap. Thank you, DS Fanboy!

Yeah, it has too much yellow in it for it to be "Ice Blue". It shouldn't be blue-green, it should be light blue.

It's just the lighting in the picture. I have an Ice Blue DS Lite and it really is light blue.

What scares me is that I now want to take the clear shell off of an Ice Blue DS Lite and lick it to find out of it tastes like Dial, Ivory, or Zest!

My money is on Zest.

This is so cool! My first DS was "Ice Blue" as well ... it looks like teal to me.

I have a white DS lite...and it is great! But...I've always wanted a red portable. I've had a gameboy, gameboy color, gameboy pocket, gameboy sp, gameboy advance, DS phat, ds lite...but NONE were red. That is why when I get a PSP (yes, I'm thinking of getting one for the few exclusive games they have :O) I'd get that new red one, just looks nice.

PIF and I spent a fortune importing my little ice blue ds...Well at least my Chinese Dragon iQue ds will remain rare...
I hope the green ds is Irish green haha I'll so buy it...

DAMN NINTENDO. I hate them for waiting too long to release the good colors. I've been stuck with a pink nintendo thing TWICE because of this. First the advance and now the ds. Just release green right away idiots. It's like they don't want my money or something. They KNOW they could sell any color they manufacture.... >:O
