Introducing Wii racer Emergency Heroes, from Ubisoft Barcelona

The above trailer comes from Ubisoft Barcelona's Emergency Heroes, a free-roaming racing game for Wii. As you can see, it's all in German (someone get Colonel Klink on the phone, we need a translation!) and features an expansive city that we hope we'll get to race around on, as well as a look at some of the game's vehicles and characters. So far, it appears the game is only releasing to Europe, based on the PEGI rating and all, but we're betting it'll see a worldwide release eventually.

Hah, from the title I thought this was that really bad looking cell shader game... something or other Mayhem.
This actually looks nice. I think they could have done a bit better in the texture dept, and not made the cars look like large wheeled hot wheel cars, but otherwise I'm interested. Nice to see a game originally made for wii, only for wii, that has some effort pushed into it.
Still, it's by Ubisoft, so I'll be sure to read reviews before purchasing...

I wholeheartedly agree. In fact, I hope that this one sells so well, they port it to the 360.

In essence, the translation talks about the city San Alto being a utopia made of glass, steel, and nature. Eventually destroyed and in ruins. The economy fell, the dream became a nightmare, something had to change. Enter Emergency Hero's Organization. In the course of six months, it became one of the safest cities again. Now it's up to them to keep it safe.
May be some mistakes, as am at work and my headphones aren't providing the best quality sound.

A quick translation is:
4s: San Alto, a dream of steal, glass and nature - a utopia come to life.
13s: But 6 years ago San Alto’s dream nearly turned sour. The city was in uproar, crime flourished, the economy was in tatters, people quarrelled. Was the dream turning into a nightmare?
30s: Something had to be done.
34s: The Emergency Heroes Organisation, a highly technological emergency task force with a small core team of experienced emergency experts and ultra modern equipment under the command of Captain Gabriel Walters and myself, the technician Kelly Okada.
51s: Within 1 year San Alto became the safest city on the west coast until today. Now it is up to Cap. Walters, myself and the ex-cadet Sack [?] Harper to clean up the situation.
1m 12s: Ha, how are you going to take me down with this heap of junk.
