Majesco makes a Humongous deal for Wii games
Majesco has announced a deal to bring Humongous Entertainment's venerable series of kids' games to the Wii this year. Freddi Fish, Pajama Sam and SPY Fox will make their first appearances on the Wii in "mid-2008" in a series of point-and-click adventure games developed by Interactive Game Group.Pajama Sam in Don't Fear the Dark, Freddi Fish in Kelp Seed Mystery, and SPY Fox in Dry Cereai will all retail for $19.99. These are all the first titles in their respective series, and it is currently unclear whether any changes have been made other than Wiimote integration. This may not be of huge interest to adult gamers, but parents will be happy to have some proven games for kids on the Wii. At the very least, having three more adventure games on the Wii may raise the system's profile as a destination for point-and-click.

Just like last week I found my old computer games and was playing Spy Fox, it's so fun, while it is really easy now, but still I had alot of fun, yet I guess like 90% of that fun was just the nastolga and how I remembered some of the corny jokes and stuff.

"Don't Fear the Dark"? Is this some sort of abomination of the original Pajama Sam game "No Need to Hide When It's Dark Outside"? Bleuagh.
I'll probably buy Pajama Sam and Spy Fox. My younger brother will like Pajama Sam, and I never got a chance to finish any of the Spy Fox games, so I'm just a tad curious.

From what I can tell, Humongous changed the name when they rereleased it the last time, Even though the original title is way better. Hardly an "abomination" or a "Bleuagh."

why did they change the name? anyway i used to play pajama sam on my aunt's pc when i was younger and helped my cousin pass it. it's probably the only point and click game i really like.

The real news in this is that these games were originally made with the SCUMM engine made by Lucas Arts. Perhaps we might see them realize there is a market and release a bunch of old LucasArts adventure games on the wii. Monkey island and Wii are a match made in heaven.

My kids would love Pajama Sam, and it is a lot more comfortable to play that kind of game on the couch than on the PC. The Wii really is the perfect platform for that kind of thing. I envision my 4 year old and 2 year old playing coop with the Wiimotes, clicking on bushes, etc...
I would totally consider buying some oldies like Full Throttle, Monkey Island, etc... or Circle of Blood/Broken Sword... oh man, that would be sweet. It'd be sweet if stuff like that came out on Wii Ware.

asdfj;oaejdkl I loved Humongous games when I was a kid, especially the Putt-Putt ones. :) Wasn't much for Mr. Pajama Sam, but Freddi Fish and Luther were my buddies.
