Rumor: Wii Fit to lighten American wallets by $90
Nintendo did say that Wii Fit would come in at under $100. According to (a blurry snapshot of what looks like) a Gamestop release list, American gamers will be shelling out $89.99 for the game and the included Balance Board peripheral when it releases on May 19th. According to this semi-mysterious source, the preorder deposit for the game will be $10 instead of the normal $5.
$90 is certainly a lot less than Europe and Australia will be paying for Wii Fit, and it seems like a fair price for the program and the hardware. But we can't help but feel slightly amused that we (and so many others) will gladly shell out almost $100 just to have our game consoles call us fat every day.

I was hoping for a $70 price point, with a realistic expectation of $80. $90 sucks but I'm still buying it.

For some reason I also thought the price would be closer to $75. I'd still like to get this but I may wait for a sale or special promotion.

BTW, I was at Toys "R" Us this weekend and they too have pre orderd for this and the price is listed as $90.

I thought it had been confirmed at $70. I think that I, too, will be waiting for a slight sale. Toys R Us seems to be really good at offering bonuses for Wii games or putting them on sale recently, so that seems like the place to look first.

90 is a little steep but my mom said she would buy it so she can use it. So i dont relly care how much it is.

Well I can confirm that the price at the moment at Gamestop is 89.99, went into the store and preordered it myself and confirmed the price

Not a rumor. My wife and I pre-ordered it when we pre-ordered Brawl at Gamestop. Pre-order was $10 and price is $90.

It'll turn off a helluva lot of thrifty shoppers, but certainly not discourage the hordes of people buying a $250 Wii Sports machine
If you consider it like Wii Play, its an ok value still, the relative value of that $90 should go up when we see more tangible Balance Board stuff

£70 in UK........£46 in US.....I feel so lucky and not ripped off -_-
Even worse for Aussies......

Will buy! Can't wait for this. It'll be the first game I bought since Galaxy and Metroid Prime 3, and I own all consoles!
Year of the Wii or something.

It should be less in America since our dollar is worthless.
