DS-10 to release worldwide
Making music on your DS has been quite fun, whether your choice for creation be Electroplankton or Jam Sessions. Korg is tossing their hat into the ring now with the DS version, the DS-10, of their synthesizer, the MS-10. But this is not news to you.
What's news to you, and the rest of us, is that the DS-10 will receive a worldwide release. No word as of yet on when exactly to expect it in your stomping grounds (that is, unless you're in Japan, in which case it's coming in July), so keep an eye on DS Fanboy for more information as it's made available.

I am really pumped for this. My only concern is how input is going to be handled... there's obviously not going to be MIDI/OSC support (unless they have a crazy peripheral planned), let alone a word clock. Let's hope there's some kind of sophisticated internal sequencer so this thing can actually be used as an instrument and not just a sketch pad.

I wonder if this would be decent for beginners...

Korg has never really been a beginner's company. They tend to make professional equipment for musicians. That said, this is on the DS and I assume they know that a lot of potential customers don't have much experience with synths. Hopefully they put in some nice tutorials.

Excellent news. This looks like an absolute must-have. If it's well-designed, it should be good for beginners and more advanced users.
