Old School: Tetris. New School: Puzzle Quest and Bust a Move
bluezy @ Mar 17th 2008 9:56AM
Picross, it's ridiculously addicting, and i played it for months. Hell, i even made picross puzzles on scrap paper during drivers ed classes last summer.
MIke @ Mar 17th 2008 9:56AM
Dr. Robotniks Mean Bean Machine. The name speaks for itself.
ThekonamiMan @ Mar 17th 2008 9:56AM
My favorite puzzle game is also my first puzzle game, Tetris.
Whenever I play it always reminds me of when I got my Gameboy when I was a little kid.
Kane @ Mar 17th 2008 9:59AM
MY all time favorite puzzle game is Chess. But recently I have had a good time with Hexic.
Noah @ Mar 17th 2008 10:04AM
Yoshi Tetris for SNES is great with friends!
jesminya @ Mar 17th 2008 10:05AM
I think I have to go with Tetris as well. I don't really play any other puzzle games, but haven't played Tetris in a while either. Other than that, I might say Dr. Mario/Virus Buster.
TheCoats @ Mar 17th 2008 10:07AM
Best Puzzle Game?
Hmmm....hard question.......
Does Resident Evil Count?.....There is puzzles and its a great game.....If not im down with tetris
Craig @ Mar 17th 2008 10:13AM
I can't stop playing Picross...although my wife recently got me hooked on this new Sodoku thing everyone is talking about...just a fad
Roto13 @ Mar 17th 2008 10:14AM
Whoo Canada! Yay!
I'm a big fan of Tetris (specifically the DS version) but I think the puzzle game that kept me addicted for the longest was Meteos. A great twist on the Tetris Attack gameplay with an intriguing "soundtrack" was enough to keep me hooked for months.
Amanda @ Mar 17th 2008 10:15AM
I think my favorite puzzle game is Portal but I have yet to experience Layton so it may well change! XD
Foodie_Monster @ Mar 17th 2008 10:16AM
Why can't I participate from Argentina? No fair...
In any case, my most favorite puzzle games of all time HAVE to be all of the LucasArts graphic adventures of way back. Monkey Island, Grim Fandango, Day of the Tentacle, The Dig, Full Throttle, etc... Those were the days.
More traditional puzzlers that I really enjoy: Picross DS, Professor Layton and the Curious Village and Portal. Yes, Portal IS a puzzle game.
Kam @ Mar 17th 2008 10:20AM
I love Picross DS, too. BUT I'm really interested in Prof. Layton, so I really wish I win!
Jack @ Mar 17th 2008 10:21AM
Puzzle Quest!

kevin @ Mar 17th 2008 10:28AM
I'll be lame and say Sudoku - starting the day with a puzzle is always a great way to get my brain working.
punkjediguy @ Mar 17th 2008 10:29AM
Donkey Kong for the original Game Boy is my favorite nostalgic puzzle game.
Zach Toups @ Mar 17th 2008 10:29AM
Going to have to go with Picross...it's just...great...

slothdog @ Mar 17th 2008 10:34AM

SamsMans @ Mar 17th 2008 10:38AM

Or maybe Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego?
Played forever and never caught her :(
DiddlyKong @ Mar 17th 2008 10:39AM
Tetris is my life.
Brandisis @ Mar 17th 2008 10:42AM
Have to go with Tetris on this one.
Swampgirl Inez @ Mar 17th 2008 10:43AM
I remember playing "Memory" when it was very young. But I cut my "gaming teeth" on the now-defunct Tengen Tetris.
True story: my local rental place had this version and I checked it out several times. For years, I complained I couldn't find it and don't like playing other versions. Just found out last year while watching a documentary that the Tengen version was pulled for copyright and licensing issues. I miss the little dancing guys and cool music. :(
Clandaith @ Mar 17th 2008 10:44AM
Cathedral is the best puzzle game. Imagine a flat tetris game.

Cristian R @ Mar 17th 2008 10:46AM
Sudoku is probably my favorite puzzle. I'm a sucker for number puzzles.
Donald @ Mar 17th 2008 10:46AM
#5: Tetris 2.

Justin @ Mar 17th 2008 10:54AM
Tetris has always rocked the Casbah for me!
Vincent @ Mar 17th 2008 10:57AM
I'm going have to say "Chip's Challenge"
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chip%27s_Challenge
God, I loved this game, even though I swear one level was impossible to beat. (I think my dad and I got up to 189 or something. It was rediculous).
And if you want to call the Myst games puzzle games....
I have to say the 2nd one was my favorite: Riven (since its the only I ever beat on my own.)
THRILLHO @ Mar 17th 2008 10:57AM
im a big fan of picross and dr. mario. but i still love me some tetris as well!
tomato @ Mar 17th 2008 10:58AM

Tengen Tetris. What!
Mike @ Mar 17th 2008 10:59AM
Tetris was my first love, but lately it's been Picross and Sudoku.
evan @ Mar 17th 2008 11:00AM
Huh, favorite puzzle game of all time? Well, i do have to say i'm a big fan of all the old sierra adventure games, which are kind of like puzzle games...
But instead i'll say it is a tie between Picross and Slitherlink on the DS.
rikki @ Mar 17th 2008 11:01AM
Definitely Tetris Attack for SNES.
Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo comes very (very) close, but there's just something missing.
Matthew Peddle @ Mar 17th 2008 11:02AM
I really liked Picross and Meteos, but I'd have to say Hotel Dusk: Room 215 was my favorite.
Many people might call it an adventure game, but its puzzle elements were great.
Drew @ Mar 17th 2008 11:05AM
Tetris.
celticwulf @ Mar 17th 2008 11:09AM
Right now I'd have to say puzzle quest, but only cause it's fun...pretty much any sudoku games work for me too ;)
Derek J @ Mar 17th 2008 11:11AM
Tetris is a classic puzzle game. I love it. I have about 5 different versions.
kilbride @ Mar 17th 2008 11:15AM
Tetris and Bejeweled
Josh @ Mar 17th 2008 11:18AM
Puzzle Quest is my current addiction, but Tetris has a spot in my heart.
c_judicator @ Mar 17th 2008 11:30AM
Tetris Attack has always been there since my family's Super Nintendo days. Currently I've been dabbling in my current fav-Puzzle Quest
Josh @ Mar 17th 2008 11:32AM
Tertis Atttack on SNES. I was unable to stop playing that game.
Pippin @ Mar 17th 2008 11:36AM
Sweet! Finally open to Canada. As for favourite puzzle game I'd have to say Tetris Attack.
joesmoe @ Mar 17th 2008 11:38AM
