DS Fanboy poll: Would you buy Puzzle Quest '1.5'?
The Nintendo DS has a long way to go before it can match the Xbox 360's online features and capabilities, but that doesn't mean we're any less jealous of the XBLA-only Puzzle Quest "1.5" add-on. In addition to a new story and arch-villain (Antharg, Lord of the Plague), the expansion pack will feature new spells, items, and quests. The upgrades we're extra envious about, though, are the new classes -- Bard, Rogue, Ranger, and Warlock.Seeing as the DS edition of Puzzle Quest: Challenge of the Warlords doesn't allow for downloadable content, if the expansion pack were to come out for the DS, it would have to be on a new cart. We doubt D3 will bother with porting the game, but we're interested to find out if you'd buy a Puzzle Quest 1.5, provided that the game allowed you to migrate your old character, of course.

Yes but as a GBA expansion cart like with Band Brothers.

I was going to say the same thing. I don't see why they haven't done more expansion packs in the the style of Daigasso Band Brothers.

Possibly. It had better be budget priced, and there had better be some good additions.

Puzzle Quest was absolutely amazing in its own right somehow, I would absolutely love to buy and plan an extended version.

I would buy it whether it comes as a separate cart or whatnot. I would even roll a new character to play the new story, even if it means plowing again through the first story.
I want to play this expansion on my DS very badly.

If they added wifi I'd be all over it.

I don't even know what the fourth option means, but I chose it anyway. It seemed so right.

I'd get it if it featured better AI. And by "better AI" I mean "no more comboing with off-screen pieces". The game premise was good, but I never got into it because the opponents always combo'ed to death with things you couldn't see. I know, I know... the CPU "knows" what will fall into the game area, but still, it's not funny when you have full health, only to be killed with a super-combo next turn.

Might as well save it for Puzzle Quest: Warlords 2

I wonder how much Microsoft pays to get these exclusives.
Just like it would be interesting to know how much they pay to get exclusive jRPGs, they are obviously paying a lot of money to try to get the 360 to sell in Japan.
And yes I'd buy PQ 1.5 on any console except for 360.

I'd get it if it had online play and fixed the bugs of the first version.

I'm definitely going to buy it for XBLA. Achievement points for the win.

I hate Puzzle Quest. I tried to like it. Everyone was full of praise, but I couldn't even enjoy it a little. The AI cheats you to death so badly. At first I thought I was really missing the obvious, though after some time I started reading similar remarks and I still can't grasp why people enjoy it so much???
I hope this won't be so blatantly obvious in Galactrix, then I might give it another chance...
