Mario Kart Wii slides into a spring release
Nintendo's press site has the information we've all been waiting for: a concrete release date for Mario Kart Wii. The magical date is April 27th, so mark down your calendars and add your favorite pizza delivery joint into your speed dial. You're not going to want to leave the couch once that day.
The press release mentions nothing else new, sadly. Just how the game will feature Mii integration and a variety of new and old tracks (16 each, as previously confirmed). Oh, and let's not forget the 12-player online racing (8 for battles) that we'll all enjoy and the other online goodies.

Damn it, that leaves me only two weeks (technically less) with which to enjoy Okami
In fact, at this point, I'll just scrap buying Okami, and play a round of my newly returned, fixed Radiant Dawn to fill the small gap between "finishing" Brawl and starting Mario Kart Wii
Crazy dumpload of good titles, preventin' me from buying things
Reaver @ Mar 12th 2008 10:50AM
yeah, damn nintendo for (finally) releasing decent games for the wii!!!
SoshiKitai @ Mar 12th 2008 11:18AM
Nooooooo~!!! Okami has lost again!!!!
*runs away into the hills*
TWOO DEE @ Mar 12th 2008 12:00PM
fixed radiant dawn disc? what issue were you having?
Matt B @ Mar 12th 2008 10:59AM
Sweet, only 5 days after my birthday. Guess what I'm getting!
Billston @ Mar 12th 2008 11:03AM
This displeases me. Europe has to wait god knows how long to get Brawl, but when WE get a game first, North America only has to wait a couple of weeks?!
BDR @ Mar 13th 2008 3:37AM
Hear hear! Our release schedule is a joke.
RowdyReptile @ Mar 12th 2008 11:21AM
Sweet. But I can tell you this.. I won't be pre-ordering it from Circuit City. I'm still waiting for SSBB to be delivered.
iMeh @ Mar 12th 2008 1:00PM
I pre-ordered SSBB from Circuit City also and still waiting. Toys R Us has good deals on new games, usually. Just don't pre-order.
David Nguyen @ Mar 12th 2008 3:14PM
Same here. Circuit City ftl!
TheOverlord#2 @ Mar 12th 2008 4:57PM
This is why you should preorder in-store...I got Brawl and my $10 gift card :D

Another dismal online experience to look forward to.
I have both a 360 and a Wii, and I'm floored by how poorly Brawl has performed online. In fact, I often can't find others to play a game with. The connectivity makes the game nearly unplayable. Yet, I never have such problems with the 360.
Nintendo needs to address a problem that is clearly on their end. I'm no longer surprised that they don't offer voice chat with their games: they can't really handle the game data as it is.
Skippy @ Mar 12th 2008 1:46PM
Let's hope that whatever they do to fix the situation with SSBB will result in a much smoother experience with Mark Kart right from the start.

Joe Cart @ Mar 12th 2008 5:01PM

kansanpoker @ Mar 12th 2008 3:32PM

omar @ Mar 12th 2008 4:39PM

ArmorForVictor @ Mar 12th 2008 7:16PM
same here pre-ordered GTA4 for my ps3 when i bought brawl at target so my money is going to that. may ask for mario kart as a birtday gift in august though since i don't really feel the need to get this on launch day. i'll stick with mario kart ds for now.
Atlantis1982 @ Mar 12th 2008 4:44PM
>.> My gosh... Okami < MKWii = (Lex Luthor) WRONG.
Just get Okami, MK Wii looks no different than any other MK game before it. Geesh.
Haohmaru @ Mar 12th 2008 6:06PM
The magic word is.. online play. (Okay, so that's two words.)
flo @ Mar 12th 2008 8:02PM
if u cn make ur own tracksl ike u can w/ stages in brawl, that would make mario kart 1 of the top 5 racing games out there
BDR @ Mar 13th 2008 3:40AM
The funny thing (or unfunny, depending on your outlook) is that Nintendo are going to start charging people soon.
