The website ends with you

As April comes closer, we find ourselves getting more and more excited for The World Ends With You. It seems like the most original game we've seen from Square-Enix for a while, since we've grown accustomed to the company's remakes and additions to already existing IPs.

Should the game strike your fancy, too, you can now head on over to the game's official website, which only recently went live. There's not much to the website at the moment, except for a countdown that we didn't have the patience to see to the end. Still, since the game is supposedly coming out soon, we're sure it will be updated with goodies in the near future.

Also, you should be warned that music immediately plays upon entering the website, so you may want to hit "mute" before clicking over if you're in a "not safe for audio" location. The song will give you an idea of what to expect on the game's soundtrack, though, so you may want to give it a listen.

It's surprising to me that autoplaying audio on websites isn't as big of a no-no as it should be. If you want a website with audio in the background the user should initiate the audio himself, not be forced to turn it off if he doesn't want it.

Nothing happens if you sit through the entire countdown. Or at least, nothing happens that I can see.

Thanks for sitting through the countdown :). It seems strange of them to have one, only for it to do nothing. You'd think there might be a little animation or something. Obviously it's a concept choice, since TWEWY has the whole countdown thing going on, but still, it seems like a weird choice.

i think this game will be great. i especially like the unique art style. i just hope i can gather up enough money for this, Mario Kart Wii, and FFCC:RoF. oh and Okami.

I am so very excited about this one. It looks to be very unique in it's setting, the music definitely makes me hopefully as it looks like it can be pretty darned cool. With Persona 3 FES and The World ends With You on April 22nd, that's gonna be one hell of a day! :D

We are actually giving away a copy of it over at my podcast, Ultimate Quest (http://www.ultimatequest.net). Contest isn't up yet, but stay tuned. It's our 1st anniversary so we are giving away a copy of P3FES and several copies of Pirates of the Caribbean. Should be fun. :)
