Wii version of Bully might be the better port
On numerous gaming forums, we've been reading about people having problems with the Xbox 360 port of Bully: Scholarship Edition. According to many owners of the game, the 360 version constantly freezes and suffers from poor framerates. There have also been some complaints about glitches and audio drops, which have led many to conclude that it's a shoddily made port.Fortunately, it seems like these issue aren't present in the Wii game, but we figured we'd check with our readers to be sure. Have any of you picked up a copy of Bully yet? If so, have you encountered any problems, or is the game running smoothly for you?

I'll be picking it up when I get paid. I'd say "I'll let you know then" but I doubt anyone will care by then. :P

Loved this game on the PS2 a year or two ago. Great fun, but no reason to play through it again just because it's on the Wii now.

It's for the sake of having extra stuff.
The script's great, there's no reason NOT to consider getting it to replay it.

I'm still wondering who the Hell thought it was a good idea to port this game to the Wii and 360 in the first place.
...I mean, if they were disappointed by the PS2 version's sales...
Sonic_13 @ Mar 6th 2008 1:24AM
That's why its a port and not a sequel or remake.
SoshiKitai @ Mar 6th 2008 10:27AM
It's not a bad game.
For those who hate GTA's violence, they find this game a lot more bearable and enjoy its mid-childish fun.
and I know I say this every time for this game: But the script is amazing (Rockstar has great writers)... the game's awfully short compared to other Rockstar games, but its freedom and just simple fun is what makes it so worth it.
....but I suppose if you're not talking about the actual game and just talking about sales... well... I think it's just for the sake that they actually think that the game wasn't as noticed as it should have been. And I'd agree with them.

From what I hear, the problem lies with older Xbox 360's for some reason, although no further details have been provided.
Apparently that is part of the reason why the problem got through Rockstar's QA sessions.

Wii version of Bully might be the better port? Oh, if so. I'll pick up the Wii! I found a deal with the price of $49, I do not know whether I should pick it up or not:

That's not a deal, jackass, that's the msrp.
Take your spam and cram it up your ass.

I never got around to getting it for the PS2, so I'll be getting it for the Wii.

i'll be renting this bad boy this weekend, hopefully if blockbuster has any copies left. but i would imagine that the wii port would be better anyway with motion controls and the like. who cares about the xbox 360
zelderman @ Mar 6th 2008 9:27AM
me, but I love my Wii as well.
ZenGaijin @ Mar 6th 2008 10:22AM
See this is one thing the Wii needs to start considering because you know in the next few days there will be a patch that makes the game run silky smooth.
Lets say it so they can hear us in that Nintendo money bin.... HARDDRIVE!

I'll be getting this for Wii soon. I loved it on PS2 and can't wait to play it on Wii.
Almack64 (NOF - Ultrazord) @ Mar 6th 2008 2:07PM

Sarah @ Mar 6th 2008 7:15PM

so i bought bully for the wii cuz i played it on ps2 and dugg it. So ive gotten bout 68% done with the game! I,m at a point in the game where my only two available missions are galloway away and finding johnny vincent. Now heres MY problem..maybe somebody else will encounter the same thing and we may be on to something. So on finding jonhnny vincent i can go all the way through to the point where the orderly is asleep or watching t.v i can't seem to get past that other freaking guard...he doesnt move from that spot so its unavoidable he see me..no matter how u approach the situation he sees he and sends u back outside...WTF!!!! Now on galloway away i remembered specifically that one u had to use ur slingshot from thje roof plus its pretty obvious..i cant target the damn circuit thing with my slingshot it wont let me...again...WTF!!! Anyone have the same issues or is it just me?

Beware...I just experienced an issue with lost game data on the Wii version. I can't get my game back where I was in chapter II and any game save that I perform now doesn't register when this game is restarted. Anyone have contact info for Rockstar Games?
