Fresh Mario Kart Wii footage for your eyeballs

IGN has uploaded a plethora of new videos for Mario Kart Wii. They arrive hot on the heels of today's news on the game and total 4 in all and, well ... uh, look: it's Mario Kart. Like, dude, do you need any other reason to check these videos out? No. The answer is no.

Assuming IGN received a US copy, I would be shocked to find out that the release date of the game is anything but mid April (alongside the releases in Europe and Japan).

Maybe this isn't as unusual as I think it is, but if the game is coming out after May sometime, would NOA really be shipping out copies to reviewers now (especially since Brawl launches in just a few days)?

Most online stores have now changed their preorder date for Mario Kart Wii from TBC to April 28th so it looks as though that will be our release date, not so long after Europe after all :-)

Forgot to mention that even IGN have updated their release date for the US version to April also.

Game looks awesome, but I sure hope they update some of the textures. Nintendo set a standard with Galaxy and Brawl and I hope they don't drop that standard down just to get this game out. I know they can use some better textures in some of the tracks, although the characters look fine.

I kind of wish Nintendo would just hold back on this until fall or something. Brawl is more than enough to keep me busy until then, and despite how much I love Mario Kart I'll probably be skipping out on this one until Christmas. It'll be the first Mario Kart since Super Circuit that hasn't been a day one purchase for me~

I agree with you on that. Not fall, Summer, perhaps. June, July, or August would all fit the bill nicely

Don't be an asshole. If you don't want to play this game until you're done with Brawl, don't buy it until then. But the rest of us would rather the game come out as soon as it's done than waiting till you're ready to play it.

You can always buy it a month or two after it's out, you know.

Online and stats are gonna be crazy in this game. I love that there is split-screen online...that's just so cool, i mean i know PS3 and 360 can pump out 4-player split screen online EACH of the players with his/her own mic. but I thought Wii couldn't do it to begin with...Truly cool that it can, and I'm thoroughly hyped!
