New Blast Works trailer highlights bonus games, creative design
Of all the neat stuff about Blast Works: Build, Trade, Destroy, the free bonus games get the least attention. Even if they are freeware, it's awesome that Majesco is putting four extra shooters on the disc, all of which are great. This latest trailer confirms that in addition to the original TUMIKI Fighters, Kenta Cho's rRootage, Gunroar, and Torus Trooper will be unlockable.
Other awesome things in this trailer include: a very quick shot of a vertically-scrolling level, which would seem to indicate that it's possible to make vertical shooters in the game, and the black-and-white paper-airplane game. If that were a standalone game, we'd buy it. But it isn't. It's just something somebody put together in Blast Works.

Aww man.... I just glanced at the title of this article and my brain told me it said Blast Corps coming to VC. :(

3rd minigame looks like a nice 3D on-a-track retro shooter*..
It probably should've reminded me of Tempest, but instead it somehow reminded me of N2O on the Playstation. Wonder if I've still got that anywhere?!
(* what AudioSurf should've been. It really doesn't suit being a puzzle game.)
Either way, WTF was going on in that video!? Things kept popping in and out, all over the place, and I really couldn't follow it at all!
Guessing I need to play it to understand that.

It's gunroar that really sells it for me. I'd pay full price for a straight up port of that on a console.
I'm confused as to why the trailer shows footage of the MENU SCREEN of gunroar when they're showing off the unlockables; for the other unlockables it shows gameplay, so this was an odd decision.

They really put effort into this rather than just porting a free flash game.
