Japan gets cheap Phoenix Wright
Our initial reaction to hearing that Capcom was slashing the price of the Gyakuten Saiban series in Japan can be summed up by the picture to the right. It was only after we had sulked for a few minutes that we remembered how every one of those games comes in both Japanese and perfect English! In other words, if you're thinking of picking up one of the four Phoenix Wright titles in the near future, then we strongly advise you to, well, hold it! From April 17th, the games will become part of Capcom's new budget lineup, "NEW Best Price! 2000," and cost a piffling ¥2,100 (just under $20) after tax.

But you can already get the first 3 games for $20 or under each in the US if you know where to shop. I was able to get Justice for All for only $12.

True. I seen the US version of the 2nd game for 15 and I think the third one was just dropped from 30 to 20. The first one seems hard to find, however, it was 20 several
months ago.
For the third game, there are slightly less spelling and grammar errors in the Us version when comparing it to the english option of the japanese one; the dialogues are the same when comparing the two, but the japanese version has more errors, prompting Capcom to delay the english version by a few months.
Lastly, the fourth game hasn't been re-released (under the best of price) in Japan yet, so for those of you who are thinking of getting an import because of this news, should wait till the Us version drops in price or until the best of version comes out with the english option.

That Walmart link appears to actually be for the 2nd game and not the first. I think they just used the wrong cover since the description title and summary of the game is that of the 2nd one.

You're absolutely right! Shame on Walmart for false (or deceptive) advertising. But it is walmart...
Dio @ Feb 27th 2008 4:29PM
But our prices have been cheaper for AGES D:

Here in Austria, they still sell Justice For All for 33 Euro (= nearly 50$) or more. So don't complain!
Almadi @ Feb 28th 2008 6:50AM
So they wont release the first 3 games on one cart?
At least there is a chance of Phoenix being released on the iPod:

I'm not miffed, I got JFA and TnT together for $32ish including shipping from Amazon! I was especially excited because I couldn't find JFA ANYWHERE in my area. So yay!
